So last year I decided I needed a new truck, and had heard about the TRD Pro Tacomas. Went to a dealer, left them a deposit for a black 6 speed double cab, and was told it would be 8-12 weeks. I was also told they could only order it in black at this point in time. We were on a trip to San Diego and I saw a dealer in Escondido had one sitting on their lot in Inferno, so we made a side trip to take a look at it, and I fell in love with the color. Contacted our dealer and told him to get me an Inferno truck at all costs. Never heard another word from the dealer. Keep in mind, they had a deposit from us, we had just bought a new 4Runner for the wife, and sent someone else there to buy a car as well, all within a few weeks time. So I start searching on my own, all over the place. The trucks had all either sold, were optioned way too high, had dealer mark-ups for rarity, or in one case got sold out from underneath me. I finally found one in Dallas that ticked all the boxes, and they got the price down where I wanted it. The sales girl screwed up on her promises though, and I was ready to walk, again. I got $2,000 off sticker, and they delivered the truck from Dallas to Nashville. When it showed up I was happier than I imagined. I loved the truck.

I've since been wheeling in it numerous times to a few different offroad parks in the area, and added some mods I'll list below. I still love the truck everytime I come out and see it. It's exceeded my expectations both on and off road.

LED bed lighting with a switch in the side of the bed
Hella 85/90 headlights with upgraded harness
2 rear facing LED worklights on brackets above taillights from @Shmellmopwho

    Recovery and gear:

    48" Hi-Lift jack
Axe/Shovel in quickfists on roof rack
Maxtrax II Desert Sand on roof rack
Viair Constant Duty on board air mounted behind back passenger seat

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    Very nice!

How are the 255/85 tires? Gas mileage or power change too much? Rubbing?

I love the look! Glad i found yours, i have been thinking about a color matched front bumper. But hadn't seen one yet.

The tires are great. I haven't been offroad since I ditched the swaybar, but they never rubbed anywhere with it on. Mileage sucks just as much as it did before, I consistently get about the same 16ish mpg give or take a little. I'm thinking about going to 4.56s with the 33s to get the power back and make my mileage suck even more. In the next couple of days I'm putting in the Totytec front spacers and the Wheeler's 3 leaf, along with the Camburg UCAs. After I do that and get it aligned I'll flex it out and see if/where it's rubbing. I'm a huge fan of the color matched bumper too. I knew I didn't want the entire thing color matched, which is why I made the lower half satin black. I also didn't want color matched hoops. I think it turned out looking pretty good.

Beautiful truck! I love the color matched bumper but leaving the bottom black is very unique and looks great.

Put the Toytec spacers, Wheeler's 3 leaf, and Camburg UCAs on the truck today. 5 hours by myself didn't seem too terrible. Would have been 4, but the jaw on my vice broke, so I had to pound out/in the studs for the top plate spacer with a hammer and a socket. Going to get an alignment in the morning.

Got it aligned this morning, and it drives great. Measures roughly 22.5" front, and 23.5" rear from hub to fender flare with all the extra weight.
