So it looks like this thread has been dead for about a week now, I figured I would give it a little bump.

Who has tethered their Droid to their laptop using pdaNet? I've been using it and absolutely love it. Not to mention, their is no monthly fee for tethering, and for that matter, I'm pretty sure Verizon does not allow tethering with the Droid at all at this point in time.

It took me all of 3 minutes to install and have it up and running.

Just keep in mind that even though you have "unlimited data" you are actually restricted to 5GB of data per month.

Heres the website. You can download the trial to check it out and see if you like it. If you want the full version (trail has full capability) it is $29.

Not with the Droid, although I tethered my last Motorola to my laptop via Bluetooth on a regular basis. It works well, but you have to keep in mind that your connection speeds will no doubt be slower than with a USB cable due to the fact that Bluetooth has its transfer speed limitations.

I've installed the root patch, what else do I need to start editing and removing things?

Sorry if this question is stupid, but...does anyone know of any fun apps like steamy window and the milk glass and all? I have those and the coin flip, dice, and light saber. Basically, it's to keep my child occupied. And by child I mean boyfriend. Most of them seem like children don't they? Lol! Thanks everyone!!!!:p

Figured I'd add a little info to this otherwise death thread.

I was on my way up to Houston yesterday and at the worst possible moment my Droid started acting up. The issue.. The power/sleep/revive button has begun to fail, and only works when it wants to. I put the phone in one of my cup holders and it was constantly coming in and out of sleep mode. Obviously, I was pretty heated, especially considering the circumstances of the failure, i.e. when it took place.

I just got off the phone with Verizon and spoke with one of their representatives about the issue. We tried a security whip on the phone, removing the SD card, and neither worked. 15 minutes later, he told me they would be shipping out a new phone via 2 day FedEx at no cost to myself.

Although the situation was pretty crappy, and could not have happened at a worst time, I was once again thoroughly impressed by Verizon’s customer service. Just wanted to give you guys with the Droid a heads up if you happen to have the same issue.

I keep my girlfriend occupied with Solitaire. She stays on that for a while.

Anyone havin trouble with internal memory? Basically every time I send a picture message I get a message saying my internal memory is getting full and I have to go through and clear my browser/email/calendar/everything before I can do anything. I've even erased most of my apps to clear up some room but I still get it.

Its a bug. Youre not actually out of memory. You may need to do a factory reset. Are you running one of those task killers? if so. I suggest deleting it. They cause all kinds of problems.
