Mud Flaps

Why tha hell are the front mud flaps so low? Thinking about taking them off!

 

Lots of people either Take them off. Cut them. Or re0lace then with Husky brand flaps.

 

Hell yeah! I'm gonna do it!

 

I took the OEM one's off and put on the Husky brand and 2 days later took the Husky flaps off. I think they are to rigid, so every bump I hit you could here them making a noise. And they were on as tight as they could be.

 

That is why I swamped them for these:

$120 for mud flaps?

 

Sell the stock ones before you break them and the may only cost you net $20.

 

Trim the ones you have and save yourself some dough.

Takes maybe a half hour.Cut one and use the residual from the first to cut the second so they match.

 

Takes even less time if you really don't give a crap whether they match. Tin snips. 5 minutes total.

 

Yeah but the sandpapering of the edges can add a solid 45 seconds to the job, ha.

 

I bought weathertech flaps. They fit in the factory holes and they are much shorter than the stock. Haven't ripped them off yet and its been 2 years or so.

 

If you plan on wheeling it they are probably coming off either way. mine were ripped off trying to get over an abandoned railroad track

The Rokblokz are really nice once installed but putting them on is an unnecessary pain. Seriously, why don't they come with hex drive fasteners? Is this all a clever ruse to sell their other products (http://rokblokz.com/short-ratcheting-screwdriver.html)?
