Never read that it wasn't going to have those? Still thinking it's going to be in that 40 to 45k ballpark

Not sure we're I read it maybe on Toyota Nation. But I have read something about there not being a JBL system option. I submitted a request by Toyota Customer Care about that we'll just have to wait and see what they say.

Still waiting on price release to decide if I'm going to go with the pro or OR. Ill still spend a chunk for TRD headlights though haha so I dunno what I'm going to do yet.

Best way to look at it is see what you will change.

Look at what is different on the Pro from the Off Road:
    -Leather Seats
    -Fox Shocks
    -Rigid Lighting
    -Blacked Out Headlights
    -TRD Pro Wheels

Are you planning on lifting it further? Upgrading suspension? Then why spend the extra on the model with upgraded suspension. If not, this makes sense.

Are you going to add lighting? If yes, then the Rigid Lighting shouldn't matter to you.

    Swapping Wheels? Same thing.

Leather Seats and Blacked out headlights are preference.

My reasoning for getting an 2014 SR5 4Runner as opposed to a Trail was that I plan on regearing and putting air lockers in, making the eLocker pointless, and I was going to swap suspension. No need to pay for things you are going to get rid of.

Not me. Really the only reason I want to wait for the pro. I want a stock truck (resale, warranty, ride quality) that still looks and performs well. Might add some lighting and upgrade tires, but that would be about it.

Then the pro makes sense for you. I was just saying those are things to keep in mind.

Come on now.... It's silver metal, probably steel or aluminum, and it just looks white in the photo. The color is silver like 99% of every other skid plate.

I am in the camp of saying the truck will be a minimum of 41K. Pricing will likely be very similar to the Runner which starts at 41,850.

Hmmm the 4Runner Limited is priced higher than the 4Runner TRD PRO... I wonder if this will hold true or similar for the Tacoma?

I am waffling between trying to get a 2017 TRD Pro or trying to get a deal around then on a 2016 Limited... hrm...

Interesting. Press release does indicate *Premium Audio/Entune/Nav as one of the features.

Wouldn't JBL constitute as "Premium Audio"? Surely they wouldn't refer to their standard stereo as a *Premium Option. Just being the devil's advocate here, based on their very own press release, media photos, personal accounts at auto shows, etc.. Unless they decide to pull a fast one and switch to another *Premium Audio supplier such as Alpine, etc, I think it's a safe bet that this truck will in fact have JBL... I could be wrong though.

They've said in several of their press releases that this truck is based exactly on the TRD off road, which has both Premium Audio and Premium Audio with JBL options. I would guess it's identical for the Pro (which means manual option cannot come with JBL).
