My adhesive was fine up until a couple thousand miles ago. Now the hood shimmers and vibrates like a strippers skirt. More shit going wrong now that I'm at the 10k mark but the hood is really the least of my worries.

Sprayers are fixed now. Hoses on the passenger side where hooked up backwards.

They did at least know the proper method to check the tranny fluid. They just didn't want to do it. They finally did after being told to by the regional service manager.

Took the truck in for the first service today and the dealer stated that Toyota recognizes that this is an issue and they are fixing it. The only down side is they are keeping the truck overnight.

Not too much of an issue as they have a courtesy shuttle that carts you to and from the dealer.

Well my truck is at the dealership so I thought it would be a good idea to tell them to check on stuff.

    Lay it on me

One of my TPMS sensors is off. The truck is still clunking (hard downshift) when rolling to a stop from say 20 to 30 mph. Speedo needle is ticking instead of smooth movement when temp goes over 85 degrees and at freeway speeds (hard to replicate). A/C system smells like funky gym socks and mildew like a 10 year old Chevy Malibu. Rear Wheel well / fender liners rattle. Front right suspension is squeaking like a bed at the bunny ranch. Vibration felt in steering wheel, brake and accelerator pedals when at freeway speeds. Also when at 55 to 65 if I feather the accelerator pedal I am getting a droning noise, not sure if it is coming from rear end or front end of drive line. Hood jiggles like jello and hood adhesive is separating.

Half the time I'm driving I'm exhausted or sleep deprived so I haven't noticed anything major but i will keep an eye out for these things. Thanks.

Has the dealership been giving you the runaround as far as solutions go?

Him or a distant cousin. I was skeptical when they called and said it would be an extra day or two because they had to repaint the underside of the hood to "make it look factory". I went in Saturday the 7th for my 10k mile service and informed them that it was still loose and vibrating. I then informed them that I work for a rather large company that makes big green and yellow tractors, no names lol, and I handle all of their warranty claims for drive train components in the Ag/Forestry sectors. I know our service model is based on what Toyota started back in the 80's and this type of warranty repair was not acceptable. I said I was not willing to give them my truck for another week and drive a base model loaner that I couldn't haul my dog in, and that I wanted them to order a new hood and replace it at the dealership.

Took my truck into big 2 toyota last week due to hood vibrations and deteriorating adhesive. Service rep agreed that it was a problem and said the body shop would fix it. He also told me they would need it for the day due to the new adhesive needing time to cure. This dealer is about 40 miles away but purchased my truck there due to their superior customer service. Anyway I decided to give Right toyota a chance since there within a few miles of my home and I could just jog home while they have it. Right toyota told me that this is normal wear and tear for a 3 month old truck that has 2400 miles. I told right toyota to eat a bag of D!C [<$ and and called corporate. Coorporate sounded shocked when I told them that they said it was normal. Id just fix it myself but it's the principle of the thing!

Some dealerships are just full of aholes. The one i bought mine from(camelback toyota) wouldn't return my calls or emails until i left a message saying I'd be interested in buying a rav4.
