BAMF 3rd Gen Recessed Raptor Style Grille

@JLee I apologize for asking about the 1000th question related to the grill orders. You mentioned that the MGM sample was sent to you and you approved it, does this mean the MGM backplate grills should be following the all blacks as the next ones out, or will you not be getting any of the colors in until you get all the colors approved? I was originally an all black and was one of the changes orders to MGM backplate. Thanks.

 

MGM and Barcelona red will be the first colors that we get that should here soon I'm just waiting on the phone call.
I'm going to try and have a bunch of grilles coated and ready for when the colors show up that way all we need to go it coat the backing plates and assemble them.

Black grilles, are we talking about the Back plate color?
because i thought the full grille was powder coated black by default.

 

Gosh, poor JLee.. You all have waited this long, what is a few more weeks now? Sit back, relax and enjoy when you get it. Only one person is gonna get to put that "first" picture up. The rest are just old news after that lol.

 

The standard "no options selected" grilles are what's going out if you selected black color matched backing plate it is not part of this group of grilles.

 

So those of us that ordered with color match (besides MGM & Barcelona Red), is it a guarantee that at some point we'll get them? or is it a "presidential promise" that is still in the air and will be waiting indefinite for? I guess I'm just confused as to why the option is available but not the color product itself?

 

You will in fact be getting what you ordered the color matched powder takes time for the manufacture to make and there was issues getting all the 2016 color samples from Toyota so they were trickling in it took weeks to just get samples to send to the powder manufacture. MGM and Barcelona red were the first to come in so they are near completion. You pre ordered a new product so everything is unfolding as we go the option is available because we are getting those colors made they are just not completed yet. We have the black base color here now that is why those grilles are going out and the color matched orders are still waiting.

Sure does thank @JLee. Hope I didn't come off rude. I was just curious, I'll keep waiting and waiting for this grille, no problem. I believe I was one of the first 50 to order without hesitation. I just don't remember reading what the actual deal was with the colors.

 

Not a problem the powders are taking longer then expected as well as the grilles take longer then expected to fabricate with the changes we have made in the process.

 

I'm going to be funny here but will we get them by Christmas ?

I'm still waiting patiently for MGM.

You are not the only one hahaha. Can't wait. Really hope to get it this week or next week as I am one that went all black. Pretty stoked!! It is going to fit my truck like a glove... and not an OJ glove... more like a banana hammock on Ron Burgondy...

 

Did a little powder coating today! Center bars and backing plates and the black grilles are shipping out.

Sub'd. My truck arrives in late July early August. Tempted to place an order for one of these! I'm getting the truck in black, thinking maybe a Barcelona red insert on a black grill...might be pretty mean looking. This is my favorite grill option out there for the new Tacos.

 

Not today most likely Wednesday we still have the center bars and assembling to do.
