I'm not a Ford guy by any means, but I'm tempted since I'm power hungry. Obviously, this is gonna be in another league at over $58k, thats my guess. Also, for whatever reason the last Raptor seems to have held its value a lot better than the whole F150 line of trucks. Sadly, I still wouldn't trust owning it after warranty expires.

Which Colorado dealer had best deal for u? I am planning on ordering an DCOR , probably get a 17 for early fall Delv. Wanted & initially waiting for a Pro, love the grill, fog lights, exhaust sound & interior, but would change our tires & wheels for sure anyway so with assumed cost & super limited availability of the Tacoma Pro will scratch off a Pro most likely .
    FYI anyone:
According to my vehicle fleet report orders for Tacoma 16 models end after 4/30, then I think it said 17's start order bank sometime after that & build 17 start in July.

Hi all. New to forums but have been lurking for a couple weeks. I am looking to upgrade to my first pickup at the end of the Summer and have been going back and forth on different models but I think I'm going to go with the 2017 TRD Pro so thought I'd add my name here. Not sure if I like Cement or White better.

Am very new to off-roading but it goes along with a lot of my outdoor loves.

    Cheers.

I went to peterson toyota in Fort Collins. they will beat any price they say. even on an ordered one. Collin, one of the internet sales guys, is super helpful and the president of the fort collins off-road club

Didnt realize they dropped the sun roof for the Pro! Seems like the price to what you get is really stacking against it. I feel if you are a true off-roading enthusiast, you wouldnt get a pro.

Agreed, plenty of ways to do it better/cheaper for a true off-roader.

I have a deposit down to get the first one at my local. I don't plan to mod it anymore than racks and tires. I already have a real offroad trail beast. (84 scrambler that is only about 30% AMC anymore)

I'm curious what you guys think about this though... If there is an extra inch of lift in the front, and compared to the 2015 the 16-17 models already have an extra inch front and back, how large can we go with tires on stock Pros? I think I saw that they have a 1" additional offset too, compared to other models.

I think that I saw that 265/70r17 (~31.5" diameter) is the largest you can go with a 2016 stock taco. I'd like to get away with something like a 275/75r16. I like a taller narrower tire that doesn't float too much in the snow. I wish they made a 265/80r16!

But we don't know the price yet...If it's <$41k for the 6MT, that's a pretty decent value compared to the TRDOR, considering what you get. Any more than that, forget it.

Zero chance the Taco TRD Pro comes in more than the Tundra TRD Pro. Tundra TRD Pro is $44k including destination. 6MT will be a $1200 discount off the 6AT price, so I'm standing by my estimate of ~$41k for the Taco TRD Pro 6MT.

Couldn't resist a local deal for 2k off msrp on a TRD OR AC with 6MT. Importing it into the USA in June and will pull the trigger on the TRD PRO when I can actually see it/drive it. Prob first run will be spoken for, which is ok. With the exchange I should make some $$ on my CDN model. BTW, the 6speed manual makes this truck come alive, very impressed!

How does that work with the GST / PST ? Do you get reimbursed the sales taxes as a non Canadian ?

TRD Pro Tundras in my location are $47,000. I bet the TRD Pro Tacomas will be $44-45K. Plus they will probably add a few extra features to the 2017 Tundra to raise the price on it.

The trd pros should be coming out in fall when the 17 models come out.

No need or desire for the Pro. As many have already stated, it's way too much money for fancy looks, but you could outfit an SR5 with the money you saved instead of going with the Pro and have way better components. My TRD Sport 4x4 is more truck than I will ever need. It's your money, spend it however you feel the need to. No need to get anyone else validation to do what makes you happy!
