Those Tar hollow trails look like I fun, I would give them a go for sure in the dry but they are a bit far. Wills Creek area is my next exploration destination, I think I may hit some of the area this Saturday or Sunday.

You want to ride with me that way you can get an idea of what to expect? I really don't want to scratch your truck I'll almost take it personal, and I'm bad about squeezing my way down a trail. I'm going exploring to places I don't know what to expect so a co-pilot would be awesome for map duty and just general company.

I've got some others that will tag along Sunday but I was leaning more towards Saturday myself. I may do both, just some scouting Saturday. Which works better for you?
@BDub are you busy this weekend?

Ah man found a guy selling a used supercharger kit for my truck and my engine, I would jump on that deal but it would be silly to shoot the boost to my tired old 260k mile engine. If I was to dump $2400 on a supercharger kit and then have to go back in and rebuild the motor after its smoked, I would feel silly. LOL oh and not to mention even with the supercharger it would still be awful slow, so I have to pass.

Haha, No you knew what you were getting into! And I went back last week and it has grown over a lot since then so it's getting quite hairy on some of those trails. Oh and hey Steve, you busy this weekend or nah?

Can't this weekend. Kids birthday and the wife has drill. The following Saturday is my day to get out.

Make sure you grab some coordinates if you're out.

I'm close to wills creek!!! About 8 minutes from my house to be exact haha. I only ventured on some of those trails with my rhino. Are you talking about what people call the "beltline"?

If you guys are thinking Saturday, I may be there. But Sunday is definitely a no-go. I don't know too many of the trails, but I know of a few. I'm sure I've only seen the tip of the iceberg.

Does anyone have recovery gear? I have nothing other than cheap straps, and I don't have a CB yet either. I tend to trail ride with my Rhino instead. Much cheaper to fix things.

I just picked up a hi-lift for its lifting and winching. It's a slow process, but you can use it as a winch as well as lift the truck. I also have a handheld Midland CB I keep stashed in the truck. Never even used it yet, but for about $70, not a bad option to have in those 'just in case' moments. Towing and recovery straps are a must-have anyway so each of those. Other than those, I have replacement parts (CV axle, u-joints, sway bar link kits) and the tools to replace them in a box in the back for when I actually get to go wheeling.

You can consult with intoit but I think you'll find that a handheld CB with the attached antenna is almost worthless for trail use - he was only understandable within about 100 feet of other trucks during our last Coshocton area outing. Get an external antenna for it!

I got a hand held. It's useless from inside of the truck .With external antenna would be ok
