Fitment is pretty damn close, but it turns out the corners on the bottom are different Fack.

Yes, that website is so unfiltered it doesn't list the one known TSB specific to the 2016 Tacoma.

 

By "unfiltered", I mean that it is from someone outside of the Toyota Corporation who is tracking issues with our vehicles. I
just did a search on TSBs and came up with nothing but found some interesting NHTSA data on our trucks. It seems a lot
of Toyota owners have issues with oil consumption so I will pay closer attention to that on both my 2013 Avalon and my
2016 TRD Sport.

Below are all the TSBs from Techinfo that I pullled back in early February when selecting 2016 Tacoma. Only one (TS-B-079) is specific to the 2016 Tacoma. The rest are generic and apply to product families or the entire line.

 

I'm at the dealership right now. 3790 miles on the truck. Early for my 5k service but i have a couple trips coming up and want things done before then.

They are checking the ATF, changing oil and oil filter... They are doing the complete 10k service plus checking transmission fluid. No loaner car. I have to wait and they already told me it would take 3-4 hours to get things done... They also said they are not real busy today so it may be quicker depending if the tranny fluid is actually low or not.

They were just going to check the tranny fluid and rotate the tires but i told them i fall under special operating conditions and asked them to go ahead and give me my 10k service now... Granted at 10k I'll have to use my 20k service... But that's fine with me. After that I'll be on my own... Minus a rotation... I doubt I'll come back for the 25k rotation service.

They seemed cool about doing the tranny check. Said it wouldn't be the first time they seen it low on a brand new truck.

I marked bolts, marked tires... I'll at least know if they actually rotate the tires and if the bolts have been turned any.

Now the wait begins...

 

Good luck man. The dealership had my truck for two days because the temperature on the transmission has to be in a perfect rage in order for them to be able to check it. That's according to the dealership. I hope you don't have to wait too terribly long.

They won't have mine for 2 days unless they give me a loaner lol. I don't even live in the same city.

He told me at 11 it would be 2 more hours tops... I dropped it off at 9am.. So I'll go ask for an update in another 40 minutes.
