I witnessed this, it looked painful and I felt bad for you. You definitely rallied again after the mornings tree fall and truck crushing. No way I could've done that.

Me too... Lisa and I are leaving after work at 5:30PM Thursday. Aiming for Flagstaff by 6AM Friday.... We leave Flag staff at 5:30PM Sunday to be back for work 6:30AM Monday.

Its a 12 hour drive so should be possible.

Ive done San Fran to Phx via the 1 in two days with a stop in Morrow Bay. The 12 hour sit is definitely do able but that clusterfuck known as Cali traffic to the 5 is going to suck. Once you hits Bakersfield and the 40 I would hope it gets easier. I do see some construction on the 40 though.

For those of you taking the 40 East to Flagstaff there is a little town known as Williams, Az. There is a great little breakfast spot there with some great pie.
Definitely worth the stop as you make that final hour push into Flagstaff.
I will aslo note the DPS and Flagstaff PD campus just off the 40 entering Flagstaff. Watch out here if your speedo isnt working right. :anonymous:

Oh no doubt, ive done Sante Fe, NM to Gillette, WY in one 14 hour sit. It can be done but doesnt mean Cali traffic isnt going to suck ass.

Should be fine once I make it to the 5. I work in the east bay(SF). I'm going to leave early to avoid traffic. The Wife lives close to home and we live on the outskirts of the bay area. Shouldn't hit much traffic. We will get to the larger socal city's after work traffic has cleared.
