I think the hype is ridiculous. Indeed it is good, but I'm not going to wait in line or pay exorbitant prices for it.

But if @DCSBFTMFW showed up with a sixer of it hand delivered from SR, I wouldn't kick him out of bed.

You don't wait in line for that stuff. Just walk in and buy, you're thinking of Pliny the Younger.

They're both okay. I'd never buy Elder at the price they want for it because for me it isn't that good, and Younger.. well, we walked in the back door with VIP wristbands and had our beers within 5 minutes of parking. It was overhyped for our palates, something I'd buy if I was eating lunch or dinner there, but if I spent 6 hours waiting for that I'd probably go home butthurt.

They have good beers, but for the price of a case of Pliny I'd rather have 2 legit cases of another CA IPA, like a simple Sierra Nevada.

Have you ever seen or had Track 7 Panic IPA? It's being distributed more widely now and on restaurant menus, but I have no idea how far abroad.
We're gonna need to get you and the missus and la bambina over to Track 7 on a day they have the Krush Burger or Chando's food trucks there. Then Bennett and Isabella can get all googoo over each other while we get drunk and do bad parenting.

If you're going to have him make the trip for Track 7 make it a two-for-one and hit up New Glory as well. Their Uber Dank IPA is one of my personal favorites!

    Negative ghost rider.

Is that in Sacramento? We've only stopped there for two things.. one is big and blue (not my balls) and the other is old town. Actually scratch that, 3 things. We went to the capital building and had lunch in the grass there after a tour, and discussed what a waste of money it is for the thermostat inside that building to apparently be set on freezing. I think it was like 3 hours later before we felt our legs again and were safe to drive home.

Would. She gets a kick out of other kids and we've never done the food truck thing but once, always want to but that's not in our locale so much. Also I can finally gaze into your eyes.. :anonymous:

You guys still use the Nose Frida thing, yes? Does Bennett scream bloody murder when you use it? Isabella hates her face being fucked with, she doesn't mind a cheek tickle or a boop on the nose at all, but when you want to maintain more than 5 seconds of contact she just doesn't buy into it. She's had a stuffy nose/minor ear infection for a few days now and having to Hoover the congestion out of her nostrils.. woof. Danielle has to have one hand on her head, the other holding the NF, and I have to hold both of her arms down otherwise she will either pull the NF away from her face or yank the tube off of it. It sucks.

Whoa, I had no clue. That is buried over there near the Army Depot. I'll have to check it out.

Oak Park Brewery is doing some nice stuff now too. I really have no reason to go beyond crawling distance from my house. Both are about 10-15 minute walk to, 1/2 hour stagger back. Designated Sidewalk FTMFW.

    3. :( We have not had to use that recently, thank god. When we did, you'd think we were branding his yamsack with a hot iron while slicing his ears off. Made the wife cry, and I'm just telling them all to shut the fuck up and stay still. Jesus fuck. He's been in daycare since January, which means he's been a little vector of petri dish hideousness, but never gets more than a sniffle. Meanwhile, as of last week, I actually feel like a human again after 5 doctor visits and eating everything off the shelves at Rite Aide. Fu-King Shit. I should probabaly go to India now. Immune as a muthafucka.

But he still has a shitfit when we just wipe his nose for more than 2 seconds.

Yeah New Glory is on my way home, I have not found much of their stuff I didn't like, plus they have a Tacoma as their company vehicle! Also Device Brewing is a couple blocks up on 14th and Power Inn. I have yet to visit Oak Park Brew, but have had their stuff on tap which was pretty good.

Sounds like a pretty accurate description, we hate using it. The bulb syringes we've tried (2) were equally diabolical in her eyes and in ours they were 10x as slow and 10x as inefficient, which by my calculations makes using them a solid dick punch. Sure are cute though.

Our former doctor recommended some electronic nose sucker thing and assured us it was "very quiet." Unfortunately, it's like $49 I don't have to piss away on another torture device that I can shitcan later because it doesn't work good enough with a baby that throws punches like Pacquiao. So, Frida it is..
I may try to rig something up where I can hook up to my new ShopVac so we can really expedite the nose dredging.

Can't wait until she's able to blow her nose though. What a trip that'll be! Planning on starting pregnancy #2 this year, so maybe when the next comes along we can get Isabella to hold the legs down while we clear the next set of nostrils.

#2. Good lord. Oh yeah, you're a lot younger than us, and especially me. We were open to it. Now, not so much. It has been a rough 5 years of massive changes for us. I want to get back to enjoying life. I'll be 50 in August. Oh yeah, and some major house remodeling. Fuck.

So she is crawling, right? Ben officially went all-wheel drive 2 weekends ago when Jeanne's mom and step-dad were here; they, of course, are now taking full credit for his being able to crawl. (These are actual adults.) Without their assistance, he would probably need a wheelchair or the rest of his life, and would aspire to playing only the kazoo rather than the grand piano.

Anyhoo, the smile on this dude's face now that he can basically go wherever the fuck he wants is golden. I think we are beginning to see the light...even if that is the pilot light in the fireplace that needs to be shut off before barricading the fireplace and installing outlet cover and cabinet locks...

She crawls everywhere, when she chooses a destination it takes her about half a blink to pull herself up onto whatever the object/furniture is and then start taking anything she can reach and relocating it to the floor.

She's just now starting to walk along the couch by herself also, like she's holding onto the wall of the pool kind of thing.. she can sometimes stand on her own if she thinks she's holding onto something. The other day she was holding onto a book and standing, then we let go of the book. She kept standing for 10-15 seconds and then fell on her butt. My mom said that's a thing, and when I was a kid she'd let me hold onto a belt or something and I'd just stand there like it's no big deal. If I wasn't holding onto something then I couldn't, so.. I dunno. We're figuring she'll be walking in the next month or 2 for sure, which will be exciting and horribly exhausting.

When she finally was able to crawl (probably 6-8 weeks ago now? Maybe longer..) it was WAY better, her frustration that had obviously and audibly pissed her off for months totally disappeared, she really wanted to move under her own power. Nothing more entertaining now than watching her plop down and crawl across the living room and pull herself up. It's great.

Last week she started saying mama, after I spent a day saying it to her and trying to get her to say it. In hindsight, it should've been dada or something.. now she says mama all the time and I'm chopped liver.

It's still a multi hour ordeal getting her to fall asleep at night, maybe 50% of the time.. she still hates to fall asleep and fights it as long as she can. Still wakes up 2-3 times a night, also, and is usually up at 645-7AM. Then she's good for an hour or so before sleeping again.

No daycare for us, still. Danielle's going to be home likely through August and even then it'll just be a part time job of some sort, until both (or all three) are preschool age.
