    Yeah but I didn't use that and there isn't an antenna on the truck that needs to be turned on so I don't know if that remote wire is dead or not.

    As far as the actual power, I suppose you could use that wire off the harness, I just didn't do the harness so I had to get power to it a different way.

    Yes if the truck has that pin live as a remote turn on for something. I don't think it does though. No power antenna on my truck.

    I'm gonna look at my diagrams because I think the metra harness has a remote wire and that's for the loc/amp turn on. Even though the lc7i does have that 'GTO' feature

    It doesn't matter if the metra harness has the remote wire, the head unit has to have a remote turn on and I don't think it does. Those harnesses are not made for only one toyota vehicle. Don't check the metra wiring diagram, you have to look at the trucks diagram to see if it actually has anything to remotely turn on like a power antenna. We don't have power antennas on our trucks, that is why I don't think it has a remote wire on the head unit. I could be wrong though.

    What you want for the remote turn on for your amp is a 12V signal that is switched on with the ignition. When using the metra connectors between the OEM harness and the HU the 12V switched signal goes through the red wire on the large metra connectors. Spice the blue (remote turn on) wire from the speedwire cable into the two red wires from the large metra connectors.

    Good call on that one. Just tying in a remote wire from the 12v switched wire would do it for sure. I'm assuming that would be the red wire on the metra harness. No need to even worry about that blue remote wire on the metra harness.

    It's been listed quite a few times in various audio threads, here's one. The OP shows a photo in the first post of this thread with the harness wired this way (blue speedwire to two red wires)

    I got Hybrid Audio speakers from @Mrmarv to replace the factory ones. I got whatever the third tier is for the front and the 2nd tier for the back at his advice. I got one of his 5 channel amps to power it all and 13" JL sub in a custom box built by him.
