What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

And my rear ARB locker is leaking. Called ECGS. Gonna have to warranty. Something wrong with its internal seal I guess? Letting my local shop talk to ECGS directly to work out how to fix it.

Cool idea, I just did my reverse lights as well, Had to put mine flush with the bumper though because if I had them anywhere else im afraid they would get hit off. Nice idea tho!

 

I could be mistaken, but I had looked into those same rims for my truck, and I guess it's one of the few 16" rims that won't fit a 2nd gen. Might want to make sure before you get a set.

 

Picked it up from the dealer after 2 days for what should of been a 2 hour job.

Recall springs in...

 

Did those change the ride height of the rear for you?

 

Not at all. Not even a little. Exactly same, both sides, as the old springs. And I had the non TSB springs. So I gained a leaf. Only difference I noticed on my drive home from the dealer was maybe a little stiffer in the back. And didn't notice any axle wrap like I would occasionally experience.

my new to me truck... Got the oil changed with synthetic, checked all fluids, changed air and cabin filters, spark plugs. Great guide for that here on taco world. My 06 with just 69k miles gonna last me awhile

 

nice! yeah, I wanted them higher, so I could use them for other things (camp lights, cooking lights aimed at tailgate, bed lights, work lights, etc). Time will tell how prone to the elements they are. I think they should be fine.. low enough and there is plenty of other stuff branches and shit can get hung up on first, yet I havent had any issues. we shall see

It's kind of hard thing to describe the feeling. It's just one of those things you just know what's happening with your vehicle. Maybe the best way is a slight dip in the rear under certain acceleration. Here's a great video showing axle wrap. Watch how the differential angles up and down under acceleration...
