Dang man, that sucks, sorry to hear! Maybe Pop&Lock can help you out with the next tailgate you get on. A PL9900 will be a must but we can also get you hooked up with either a power or manual tailgate lock.

Saw a comment on the web a few yrs. ago from a guy who claimed to be a seller of Pop-n-Lock device(s). He claimed they can be undone in a matter of seconds.

    Who knows?

Hmm odd..well can't always control what some people put out there.

Honestly, Pop&Lock has become the leader in tailgate security and we are constantly trying to improve and make things more secure for trucker owners like yourself! Try something out :) the Gate Defender is a good starter security product if you don't want to invest in the full tailgate lock.

    Thanks for checking though!

He may have been a disgruntled retailer unhappy with Pop-n-Lock. I really do not know.

It's possible, but hopefully not :( Since the ownership switch, we try our very best to support all of our dealers and customers because y'all are what keep us going!

Here's a more permanent solution with the washer mod.

Bunch of other places to find security screws/bolts . I've used them before on other projects and thinking about now using them with my washer mod. I never plan on removing my tailgate ever. But there are tons of other heads if you don't want the permanent method. I do recommend staying away from the ones that look like you can get a Flat head into it. Ive be able to take a few of these out with the right size of flat head.

Not guaranteed but that's one more step those fuckers have to do.

I've done the washer mod - two(2) hose clamps on passenger side(one wrapped around the other) and two(2) bicycle-type locking straps(one on each side of tailgate) secured up underneath the bed of the truck with small pad locks heavily wrapped in various forms of tape.

If they want it that bad, I suppose they can have it.

Nothings fool proof, but it's a "layered" approach. Thief would have to come prepared and it might take more time than he'd be willing to invest in a Walmart parking lot. My truck never spends the night on the street.

The materials used were already in my stash drawer.

There are neater approaches, but when the gates closed, nothing is visible
