anyone else have a dog that drags around a blanket and nurses it? I think he wasn't weaned off properly

That is hilarious.

 

Mine have to sleep under the covers if on the bed.

 

I had a beagle that used to do something similar, he would carry a stuffed duck around and suck on it's head. Never chewed it up.

 

We had a Chinese Pug that would eat my wife's panties. I thought it was funny. She didn't. Panty eating pug lived for 11.5 years. Strange little dog.

I have an appointment to put down our 16 year old Lhasa Apso next week. While we will miss her I don't want to see her suffer anymore. She is deaf, probably 70% blind, can hardly walk due to her back half just not working, whimpers at night sometimes with pain, tail never up like a normal dog and only put it down when something was wrong, doesn't eat much, and just doesn't have a quality life. We need to do this instead of her falling down stairs and being paralyzed. Tough choice but the right choice.

Haven't decided if a new dog will fit into our lives yet.

 

Bryan, sorry to hear that. It's a tough decision for sure and one all of us will face at some point.

Sorry to hear. Took us four years to replace our lab when she passed. We were looking to adopt for almost a year when we finally found the right pup to rescue.

My little (120#) Rottie girl and my wife's GSD. They live a horrible life.

She was busted sleeping on the couch so she was trying to play it off.

 

The latest. 5 month old Beauceron female. Guard instinct is really starting to come on.

 

She loves water melon also.

 

I didn't know beaucerons existed until about a week ago when we were trying to figure out what my pup was... (He and his litter-mates all had double dew claws)

 

Great guard dogs. Very devoted, will protect you with their very own life.

 

Had him about 3 years now... He's a momma's boy through and through, but he definitely let's people know he is present when my wife is alone... Although, he is afraid of his own shadow sometimes. Must be the French coming through
