I think I banged the gas tank off something on the way up but fuck it no leaks so it's fine! I only scraped like twice that night. Makes me want to put like 500 in it and lift it with spacers and build a shitty bumper and just beat it till it dies.

Man smaller gas tanks are just easier on your wallet, and better for ground clearance. You're golden!

    Hey Guys,
I used to read and find info on here years ago, but now decided to part with my truck for a Tundra (due to my wife wanting a larger camper).
I am having a hard time deciding on what price to ask. Any input would be appreciated.
2005 Tacoma Double Cab Silver TRD Sport LB lifted 3"
    230,000 kms
    Dakar leafpacks
    OME rear shocks
    OME 885 springs, and struts
    TRD exhaust (catback)
18" KMC XD Addict wheels with BFGoodrich All Terrains
17" factory wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks
    Pace Edwards sliding tonneau cover
    Grillcraft grill
    vent shades and bug deflector
Frame (soon to be undercoated) was just replaced and at that time the lower steering shaft was replaced along with the lower control arms and many of the brake lines.
Front pads and rotors were replaced over the winter and just serviced when summer well switched.

Body is good but not perfect, with a couple small scuffs on one box side and rf fender.

Bottom line is theres not that much out there to compare to with the add ons. I realize they don't add that much value but make it tougher to determine a value.
The math doesn't seem to add up when trading it in, so I will likely try and sell it privately.

Thanks if you read to the bottom!

Looks to me like most 05's are for sale between 8 and 12k. You'd probably be safe in that range. Maybe between 9 and 11k? Just going off the KM.

145k, lifted $12,000 (I'd say this is priced high)
    http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/...rt/1161002638?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

    175k, leveled $9500 (pretty reasonable)
    http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/...rd/1161990489?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

300k, Spacer lift $8000 ( Priced very high for the condition of the truck and the "mods")
    http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/...ma/1158786022?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Just remember modifications don't normally add value to a vehicle and they really narrow your target audience. Even though you may find the truck attractive, the 50 something year old guy looking for something to tow his speed boat to and from the lake might not find it appealing.

If I was going to sell mine I'd ask 10k or so, but I have a large number of dents and scratches. 2009, 213k on the 2.7 liter.

    3 inch OME lift
    LCE equal length header
    aFe cat back
    LCE Pro clutch
33 inch mudders for the summer and 33 inch winters
Along with custom pin striping and aerodynamic dimpling, and a few other dooodads.

Good luck with you sale! hope this helps.

It's the stone cold truth we all have to face. On the used market the mods are worth nothing. We all know what you have put into it and the cost but on the market it is an 11 year old truck and it will never be what you think it is worth. Sucks for sure.

Every now and then kijiji works like a charm. I had a set of Run Flat Pirelli tires for the little car and dropped them on there and they were sold within 15 min. I knew I should have asked more but everyone was happy.

Isn't it the worst when you feel like you should have asked more or offered less?!

Well that is kinda a bonus I guess. Someone that needs tires and feels like they got a deal. But I was glad to see them go....Run Flats suck. E rated LT's are like pillows compared to those things. Now I have really good winters I need to sell..... Back to kijiji
