Morimoto rgb xc halo with any remote

Has anyone attempted to cut the connectors off the ends and wire them to a different brand controller?

 

Just did a research. You technically can, but it will require a lot of work. Not only that, but you'll lose your warranty. I wouldn't recommend it. What is it about morimoto's remote you don't like?

 

I have rgb rock lights that i want to wire to same controller as halos but i cant with the morimoto controller

Jimmy starts at TRS in a couple months, so he's pretty keen on what goes down from what I can tell.

 

TRS is one of my sources lol I just don't want you to spend more money and a lot of time

 

Its just such an inconvenience thats ill have to use 2 differnt remotes because of this. Guess ill just go with led concepts halos.

 

I think im going to try to call trs and see if they will help me wire them but i doubt it.

 

You cannot wire them to any other controllers. Everything is proprietary currently.
