    A cycle refers to charging from and discharging to a set amount. One cycle could be 20% to 100% to 20% or it could be 50% to 100% to 50%. The point is, as I understand it, that your alternator will try to push the charge to 100% and hold it there. You only need worry about exceeding 13.8v if you use a float charger (trickle) to keep it from discharging over time. I highly recommend you to read the label on the top of your battery.

    Yes, Icom working perfect now.

    As for the die, I wouldn't doubt it. Garbage Chinese steel I assume. It does the job. It should still work just fine for you

    What else do you guys carry while out on a trail? Good idea on the CV axle, U-joint and Sway bar links...any other commonly broken items? I've been wheelin' in a '79 Jeep for 15 years now but im new to the Tacoma wheelin world.

    3 years and I've never had a single thing go wrong on the trail besides body damage. Just depends on your luck!

    For long hauls I always carry;
    Spare CV
    Spare driveshaft
    U-joints
    Fluids (coolant, engine/gear oil, trans, PS)
    Tie rods (inner/outer)
    Lower ball joints
    Wheel hub bearing

    Fluids.. forgot fluids. I need to get tie rods, drive shaft, ball joints, hub bearing (maybe hub also). I need to relocate my spare, too. I've thought about just making a temporary relocate to the bed and attach it to the rails just when I go wheeling. A good bolt and T-nut should work. I don't wheel often enough to get the bumper spare holder.

    There is a company out there that makes a tailgate replacement. You take off yours and put theirs on and it can your your hi lift and spare. Or you can get the CBI hitch spare tire holder
