What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

We have an FJ that we bought years ago. It's more comfortable than this truck. Particularly the seats. I have to get out after 2 hours in the Taco. I'm already looking into upgrading the things I don't like about it, because I want to keep it. I don't give a sh!t if I void the warranty in the process. I'm just throwing the FJ idea around because I actually like driving it better. I don't like the same things about the 2nd Gens that I've driven, so that's not really an option to me, but I do like having a smaller truck for hauling more gear etc. I realize that I'm not anyone else and the things that work for me don't always work for everyone, so I'm not knocking the truck. I'd really like to get the thing out in the dirt and see what I've got, but there's still so much snow here that it'll be a bit before I can.

 

At lest your don't have to worry about that NEW car price with the FJ.

Actually, they've gone up considerably since they stopped making them. I found a certified used '14 TRD with 15k miles for $37,500 in the right color with the right options. My wife told me to buy it anyway before it's gone and then make up my mind or keep both. Hmm...

There's some pretty cheap ones out there still, but us being a used car dealer too, we have seen from 10-20% increase since last year already. Why'd you sell it?

 

You don't need to buy bolts, they are already in your truck.

 

You will need the rail end caps also. The rail itself is just the rail.
