Wow, livin' on the edge. I have hesitated to run a 10.5 wide tire on anything wider than an 8' wheel. I will be curious to see how those 'skinnies' do on 8.5" wheels.

BTW, luv the look of the Ray10s. What color did you pic?

I completely know what you're saying, and that was/is still a concern of mine, but on the Cooper website it says max rim width 8.5 inches. I still might go with 275/70/17, but I really want to run the 255/80/17. It might just mean that I might not be able to air down that much without risking the bead breaking. I got the bronze ray10's. It's funny because I am really really particular about my wheels, and I was gonna get the sr8's, but I ended up waiting for the ray10's just because they are honesty the only aftermarket wheel that I really like. I put in my order for them within 10 minutes of Vin opening the group buy.

Yeah, I thought long and hard about getting a set. Ultimately decided not to. Instead went another round with KM2s in 33x10.5r15s

 

I'm glad that I got them, I was only able to justify the purchase by getting the 17's instead of 16's. I want to run the 255's because I like the idea of having my good looking 17in wheels but also having a bunch of sidewall. I had 15inch steelies on my 4Runner, it's great if you wheel a lot so you have a bunch of sidewall, but I don't want to beat my truck up too much before it's payed off.

I don't have alignment problems with my Gen 1 when I jump it.

Unless it's really bad, a bent spindle will be almost undetectable to the eye. Doesn't take much of a change to really throw off the alignment. Usually, it's the top 90* bend that ends up being less than or greater than 90.

Guessing the front and rear issues are unrelated.

 

Your campsite's ready. I want to head Lander way at least once this summer...there's also the trip from Dubois to Green River lakes via Union Pass that I've been trying to do for the last three years...

Any of you lander folks been to the Wyoming outdoor expo? Wondering if it would be worth the trip over there.
