Boy that race was a snooze fest.

 

I slept through the entire thing, waking only to see Truex's debacle. I stirred a little for the last lap. If the highlight of the night was a wreck wrought with no contact, then a snoozefest indeed. The good news is that it's dirt track season so, there is decent Saturday racing out there

 

You're right. The Mrs. and I both slept for about 2 hours.

Kyle Busch won last Saturday night's Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway, but on Wednesday NASCAR revealed that the victory came at a cost. Crew chief Adam Stevens has been fined $20,000 and suspended through May 18, meaning he will be sidelined for this weekend's Dover race unless he decides to appeal the suspension. The fine and suspension come as the result of an apparent violation of NASCAR's new policy regarding all five lug nuts to be on all four wheels of a competitor's race car at all times -- although it's unclear to some extent because NASCAR no longer issues specific information to the public about its penalties. In addition to Stevens' penalties, the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota ...

 

Read somewhere he had all 5, but they weren't all Tight... I personally was against the all 5 rules bc of the principle of risk Vs reward, but now they screwed us there.

 

Why don't they just penalize the tire changer? Seems like they'd get em a little tighter perhaps. It's an even playing field, so it wouldn't be advantageous to anyone, unless that racer is actually shooting for 2nd place.

 

The guy with the impact maybe, but the 3 or 4 lugs was fine before. By the end of the season another rule will change

Miss a week, break it into an hour a day until u see it all

 

I have no desire to watch old races. I've been threatening to stop watching all of them because it eats up so much time that I feel like I could be doing something productive like finishing up the remodel of my house or whatever.
