    It's all been said so many times before... but I agree with all of these, which are the features I won't be buying another vehicle without;

    1. Lack of bed light
    2. seating position
    3. steering wheel position
    4. reverse gear ratio
    5. no locking tailgate
    6. weak tailgate
    7. rear view mirror position
    8. seat adjustment options (no height or lumbar in a $35k truck?)
    9. Side mirrors not heated or dimmed
    10. Rear glass not heated or electric sliding
    11. Auto headlights

    All the other things like no factory leather option, no heated seat option, those are all annoyances, but all really ridiculous things to omit from a truck in 2013 (the production year of mine). I really could have appreciated;

    1. No TPMS, or at least if you make us use TPMS, put up a digial TPMS display.
    2. Factory remote start (petty, but live in a cold climate and tell me it's not critical to your comfort and the life of an engine)
    3. Heated seats
    4. Heated steering wheel
    5. Factory leather option
    6. That annoying auto relock feature where if you remote unlock your vehicle and don't get to it in 60 seconds it re-locks. It's annoying, and just unnecessary

I actually want to leave the weak springs out of it. Sure, it doesn't carry a load well for a truck, but for me it carries most things well enough... If I was consistently carrying 5,000lb trailers I would have gone for a different vehicle.

I think they need to seriously consider a 1794 Edition of the truck out of San Antonio. I would hate to see the price though.

My 2013 has lumbar support, it's a twisty knob adjustment, I wish whole seat was electric though. I want power-folding mirrors, and remove the tach and give me a full intrument package, or just add them. I don't like the electronic 4WD, I want the good old fashion small stick like I had on the 2001.
I love the modular storage under and behind the rear seats, very cool! And overall it's a Taco, so I just love it for that alone...

I love my truck overall but I hate that it doesn't have an outside temp display (kind of a big deal when you live in a area that can have wild temp swings in the fall and spring) or fuel mileage display. Sure those are minor complaints but I'm baffled that my wife's 2006 Corolla has features that my 2015 Taco doesn't.

I wish whatever part of the console wasn't there that scrapes off the front of my knee every time I jump into the truck with vigor. The rest I can deal with.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    1. It doesn't come stock with a V8 pulling 500 horsepower like it should
    2. The wheel wells are horrid for plus sized tires
    3. MY FUCKING SUN VISOR IS LOOSE AND FALLING
    4. My rear passenger window has never quite been "right" it'll randomly get stuck and the door mounted switch won't operate it, I have to use the driver's side switch to get it to move.
    5. Tailgates are made of papermache.

    I still love my truck.

But a full size gets about what we get with more power?

And a falling/loose vanity mirror/sun visor is not a "fixable DIY issue" it's a safety hazard.

    A) I had an '06 Tundra 4x4 and now a '14 Tacoma v6 4x4. The Tundra did not get about the same mpg I get with my Taco. And it had more power, but not much more. I mean, it weighs way more... I'd be interested in the quarter mile comparison. Not guessing the Tundra would be much quicker. More towing capability, but 20-25% poorer mileage in my experience.
    B) Did you buy your Taco new? Did it have that falling/loose sun visor from 0 miles? Cuz mine are totally fine. A design flaw or something broken that could be fixed?

@ColoradoTom there ya go, compare a vehicle that is 8 years older than your Tacoma. I bought it new and it happened over time, Google around about the popping sun visors and how they eventually fall limp.

My apologies. I did not know about the sun visor thing being a known issue. Yes, mine isn't quite 2. Maybe in 8 more years I'll be pissed about my danged visors.

This is for a first gen so forgive me but I dislike the harsh ride and the rattles that seem to come out of nowhere.

OK, so what did you mean when you said "compare a vehicle that is 8 years older than your Tacoma"? I thought you meant your Taco was an '06. Now I am confuse.

Love my truck and wouldn't trade it but damn I wish the fuel range / tank was another 5-6 gallons or so.

People bought the truck because as a whole they liked it... Doesn't mean there weren't a few things they didn't like. You're allowed to nitpick something you paid for, and the thread is "what do you not like about your tacoma" not "why do you hate your tacoma"

I think you're missing the point. There is always room for improvement no matter what vehicle you buy. I think this thread is for rational discussion of perceived faults. Not exactly griping.
