So this works fine with the stock SR5 headlights and fog lights?

Should work fine. The headlights are the same through all trims I believe. The projector housing works pretty well to elevate flashing from blinding other drivers.

IMG_0845.jpg Ok I call Bull of the 15 Min Install only because the connectors of my set were a huge pain in the ass to push far enough in to connect the wires not plug and play at all! I hope others experience was a better one than mine.

Sounds like my install was the exception i am happy others got it swapped with so little trouble.

Not sure it there was a running change on the width of the plastic connectors but my were tough!

Like all great projects things are better after some chill time and a beer.
end result success i just hope they are far enough in not to wiggle loose as the clip that locks the the ends together physically could not get pushed together enough to get the release clip to hook over the plastic tab.

EDIT Cleaned my work bench and as putting away the light box and I noticed that there was some more parts in the small box , opened them up and AH HA Moment I hate those especially when it all seems to make sense why install was so hard.

I remember someone else posted a pic and remember the little braided cable was attached in their pic and thought damn is it possible you need the little extention adapter as well as the line driver box cable to make it a simple plug and play.

YUP helpful hint learn from my idiocy

Light connects to > Red Line Driver cable > Short Loomed Cable > Factory Socket
BTW it works without it but its a bitch pushing in the connector far enough to work.

So yes 15min install or be a dumb ass and be 2 Hours + 15 Minutes lol.

It took me about fifteen minutes to install everything and cable manage with zip ties. The passenger side was a little tighter as far as room but it was a very quick install for me too.

No, it has a projector for the low beam and a reflector housing for the high beam.

Ahh, okay. Didn't know, I'm in the first gen club. But I did just put these bulbs in my truck, and they kick ass.

After ready 576 post I think I will give these a try. The halogen headlights and fogs compared to the DRL's was the first item I noticed after buying my Taco I didn't care for.

I installed this as well, drove immediately a 450 mi road trip starting at night and absolutely love them. Many of the comparisons on Amazon are comparing these to HID not stock lights. Big improvement and great coverage to stock lights. Definitely not bright enough to blind anyone but does make it looks great and provide more light coverage.

Anyone know why the freaking carolla gets stock led lights but our 40k out the door Tacomas have halogens?

Mine are the same. Take a photo and send it to their warranty department. They were excellent with a Fog light issue I had.
