Where would this be taking place? Sorry if I missed it, what city would it be in?
I have a non-TRD PreRunner but I'm sick of sitting at the house!

The 28th would probably work for me.

I can probably do the 28th, not completely sure yet since it will be memorial day weekend.

If we are just talking about a day trip on that Saturday that could work for me as well. Where are we looking to go? I have a winch and neccesary recovery gear FYI

28th should be good for me. I believe we will either go to Stoney Lonesome or "The Slab".

Skids are going on Saturday after all the fluids get changed. Hopefully the new front springs will happen also on Saturday. That leaves me with the front alignment cams needing to be cutoff and replaced (I was able to get the rear's out and greased), replacing my low tone horn and wiring my winch.

Stoney lonesome is about half way between Birmingham and Huntsville. The slab is about 10 miles from my place in montevallo.

Could a non-limited slip (no locker) 2WD V6 with AT tires handle it? Enough to make the drive and have fun?

yes I've made it 2wd through most everything when I've been, only time I used 4wd was when it was muddy.

The slab is pretty tame. The few hard things there have trails that go around them. Even if you get stuck, recovery is half the fun.

Yup!!!!! Boys I've been wanting to get the girl muddy again since we went to talladega. I'll try to bring the big camera to take some real good shots of everyone. Unless someone else is a good photographer?

i agree that the slab is more 2 wheel friendly with some fun things for the 4x4's to try. I liked the hill climb at the entrance. Also, Stoney I think is better as a smaller group. It changes quickly sometimes and what was easy enough one trip is horrible the next.

Wow I have missed out on a lot of conversation. I'm probably out on a ride for the month of May, plans every saturday it seems and I'm about to get a new niece so a lot of family stuff too. I still need to get my extended brake lines installed before I try any wheeling, but my new wheels come in MONDAY!!!
