^ I totally understand as I drive a completely bone stock 1999 Honda Civic as my DD. It actually looks excellent with only 123k on it. Drives like I am back in 1999. My truck has been driven around 2-3K in the past 2 years.

Thanks man. Yeah agree with you 100% with the truck. Similar style, different ENOUGH. Your truck has always been a build I appreciated because you sweat the details like I do. It makes all the difference! ;) But if anything, at least your truck gets driven!! I'm still under 15,000 miles on my odometer, what am I doing with my life!!(it's not my DD lol)

To be honest, when I got my retrofit done on these headlights, I used your headlight pictures(chrome DRL bowls, chrome parking light sections, black everything else out) as exactly what I wanted done color scheme wise haha. SPEAKING OF RETROFITS/CUSTOM LIGHTING, I wanna bounce some ideas off of you sometime. Are you doing LS460 work these days? I wanna try something a little different on the next retrofits, but not sure if it would work....also are you doing custom taillights now!?! I want pics!!! Really solid work on lighting by the way, I follow Rechelon pics pretty closely. :D

I appreciate those kind words and after 3 years with these retrofits. . . I am ready to move on to something different but still the same. Feel free to bounce your ideas with me regarding those LS460-R retros. We're doing taillights and fogs as well. Thanks for your support and I would love to add some kind of lighting on to your truck. Keep up the great build Matt and hope to hit some dirt with you one day.

I hear THAT! same man.. tryin to get some things rollin, workin my ass off.. but.. get to make things at work for the truck.. so like you.. cant complain. lol

hahaha.. its gettin there man. need to do a couple more things. it never ends tho. What part of Cali?? we are trying to plan a trip this summer to drive up to SF and visit friends and family along the way. about 9 days worth. I cant even imagine the pictures... lol.

well.. about the exhaust.. lol. I did a thing. I needed to fit my fullsize spare under the bed.. so dumped the exhaust right AT the axle.. it sounds like a jet engine... lol its grown on me tho. maybe you'll hear it! i wont touch it. lol

speaking of retrofits.. I'm redoing mine soon as well. gathering parts. lol

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
PMing you ASAP! This will be a long term upgrade, but I wanna know if my idea would even work lol. Thanks again man, lmk if you ever come back down to Cali....Pismo is a 35 min drive from me. :D

Good on you man! Sleepers just dream, hustlers pay bills!

Your exhaust must sound very similar to mine now...mine being dumped right before the axle. I need to figure out a way to get the exhaust gases to flow more UNDER the axle than pretty much over it. The moisture/being catless is making the rear shock on my passenger side a huge ass dust/grime collector on the shock body!! UGH! At first I thought it was a seal busted in the shock, sent it to get rebuilt and the seals were just fine---it was the proximity of the dumped exhaust making it seem like it was leaky/attracting road grime lol. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS MAN THEY SUCK!!!!!!! Nah, not really, but I have OCD so... LOL

I'm on the Central Coast man! Dead middle of LA of SF---but on the coast. You have to go 3.5-4 hours south OR north from me to hit LA or SF. If you know where Santa Barbara is, I'm roughly an hour and some change north of there. MINUTES away from Pismo. :) Keep me posted!

I am always back in forth from Portland to Socal. I've never taken the truck to sand as it's always dirt. However a visit to Pismo to enjoy sand & Splash Cafe could be in the works! BTW, I'll give you an honest answer and not sell you on something if its not going to work.

Splash would be a MUST! Let me know man. If you need to get a hotel or anything, my lady manages one and could try to get you a decent rate for a night.

I know you're a good dude, and I like to support TW vendors who are transparent during inquiries. Plus, it helps you do some BADASS work!! By the way, you've got a PM man. :)

    thank you sir!

dude.. that is exactly how mine is.. and the issues I'm dealing with.. I want to get a tiregate or bumper swingout ASAP so I can reroute my exhaust back to how it was.. lol

perfect! I will definitely keep you posted then. we are planning to stop and visit family in Huntington, then head up the PCH to SF. MIGHT even drive through the Redwoods and up into Oregon to Crater Lake, then loop back down. a trip I've been wanting to do for a while. lots of family through all those destinations. AND.. there are a few Cali guys I want to hit on the way.. ;) so there will be many stops!

Yeahhhh see I wanna run it over the axle but, I've got first world SUA conversion clearancing problems back there so, maybe I'll see if I can maybe have the turn down point more downward. I'm down there cleaning the shock body probably every 2-3 weeks lol. It's getting annoying haha.

PCH runs right through my part of CA so there could be some epic pics to be taken! But yeah for sure keep me posted. I can round up some more Yota folks and have a lunch or dinner or whatever meet up.

*sigh* Had to make a huge decision recently, and that was one of them. Adulting > Subaru hobbying right now in my life....so she's being sold to a GREAT friend of mine this month. He owns/runs his own performance Subaru shop where he will turn the STi into the car I wanted to make it.

Having driven it less than 300 miles in probably the last 5 years(SAD I KNOW), I think it was just time to let it go. Odometer reads 31,700 miles and I've had the damn thing brand new off the transporter truck since 12/24/2003! I will miss it dearly, but I'd rather have it going to someone who i know will take care of it and appreciate it---AND DRIVE IT. I'll be back into a fun car eventually, but right now it's fat I have to trim off my list of priorities.

    Sup guys!

New tank of premium gas for the Taco recently!!!! Stoked! lol

Nothing new to report on the truck unfortunately. Maybe that'll change soon...

...been trying to juggle multiple cash offers on this beast this past week. Adult decisions and making some life upgrades lol. She should be gone very soon. :( *sigh*

There isn't a lot that would make me let go of the Tacoma thankfully.

Now if/(when?) Toyota launches a diesel Tundra, well, that will undoubtedly be what I would upgrade to lol.
