I agree. Sometimes I wonder if people do the writeups for attention but for the most part they do it to help others. They have been a money saver many times over. I've been into the Honda scene as well for the last 16 years and I can tell you that those guys are a bunch off assholes. It's a cock measuring contest over there. Too bad my 525whp cock is fairly large so I have nothing to worry about haha. The guys here will give you props and are more than willing to help.

 

Ha, I've crossed the Fraiser on that ferry, tho the water level in August appears to be quite a bit lower that what you experienced. Did you go explore Moly Peak?

Didn't make it to Molybdenum.. We tried for Texas Creek, but the gate about a third of the way up was closed. Area looked a little too destabilized to continue on safely, anyways.

 

Yeah, I suspect Moly is still a glacier this early in the season.

I was kind of thinking it would be. @jeverich and I had spent the previous day going up the west side of Harrison Lake and figured it'd be fun to give Texas Creek a try on the way back south. I had forgotten about the gate, it was open when I went through in September a few years ago. Looks like your sig pic was taken from the top.

I've been up to the lake but the altitude was really messing with one of the guys in our group so we opted to drop back down instead of going higher. We took the dirt road south to Lytton so that we could use the ferry. I'm not a big fan of the road. It's not bad, it just gets tedious. It'd be a lot of fun in a trophy truck with an ejection seat and parachute

 

Aaaaaaand my torque converter is fucked. Barely made it up the hill to my buddy Nic's/ @usethe2nds house and all I smell is clutch. Fucking thing wouldn't down shift for shit and I had the skinny pedal floored.

 

Anybody planning a wheeling trip soon? I'm thinking of looking into an expidition trip into the Olympics toward mid july.

Is the lake you are referring to below Money pk and Revolution pk, across from Moly pk? Amazing spot. There's two of them, we stayed in a smaller (3 trucks) campsite, next to the lower, smaller of the two lakes.

Did you guys get to do the Whipsaw trail while you were up there?

The lake has a small area for camping in the northwest corner, we had four rigs in there (my truck, an FJ Cruiser, a Sportsmobile and a 4wd Astrovan) and it was pretty snug. The road up is a really crappy place to change a Sportsmobile tire in the dark. There is another road leading around the north side of the lake but I think it dead ends at a small pond.

I didn't know you could get up to the lakes you're talking about. I'll have to add it to my list of places to check out. Whattya think @12thmanhawkfan? Got any plans for August/September?

 

Now that I look at the link you posted, I tam sure that is the lake we camped at. This was taken from the big switchback going up to moly. The lake is directly across, up that valley.
