Actually, I lucked out. I just had to remove the mud flaps on the front wheels and i get no rub with regular street / Highway driving. Not sure how it will sit after the suspension settles. I'm sure i will get some rub when i go off roading, but for now she is one sweet parking lot princess. haha

Damn she looks good! Loving the silver and black, silver wasn't my first choice when I got my truck but now it's turning into one of my favorite color schemes.

No problem buddy! Glad you found it helpful! Like I said, I did months of research going through endless threads. It's threads like this that made it easier for me.

Had the lift on for a couple weeks now. Finally got the wheels and tires mounted. Still Fighting a bad vibration though.. CB drop did nothing. Thinking 3 degree axle shims next? Or maybe Diff drop? Not really sure.image2.jpg image1.jpg

Looks awesome man! What size tires? A lot of good looking silver and black tacomas here. About the vibration, did you say if you tried the driveshaft spacer yet? Only like $12 bucks at wheelers. It fixed my friends vibe that he had so I just installed it at the same time as my lift.

I replaced the carrier bearing first. It was shot, But that didn't fix the vibration. I've tried Dropping the carrier bearing. That did nothing. I have a set of 3 degree rear axle shims I'm going to try next. If that doesnt work.. I'll order a front diff drop I guess.

I'm not sure buddy, I got lucky with no post-lift issues. Drives smooth as hell. Tires look good What size tires did you put on?

Good Looking truck. Sucks about the vibes. I dig the plasti-dipped emblems. I can't decide if i want to do mine, or remove them. Now at least i know what they will look like.

I actually bought black ones. I work at a GM dealer so we do a lot of business with the local Toyo guys. Got them all for a good price.

Can anyone tell me whether it is worth it to buy the 5100's already pre-assembled with the 885 Coils or if it would be better to just let the shop assemble the coilovers?

I had them pre-assembled because I did the install myself. It really depends on the abilities of the shop doing the install. If they have the tools and you feel comfortable with them doing it, let them do it. If you would rather be sure it's done right from the company sending you the product, have them do it.

^ this. I've seen several members post after leaving a shop that assembled and installed, only to have their hats upside down or something along those lines.

Call Marie at Headstrong off road she will hook to up. Get them pre assembled. Makes the install easy.

    Sir,
Did you paint your stock wheels black or are they powder coated?

What's the cure for squeaky AAL and how exactly do you apply it?
