Cut way more than you think you'll ever need. Although, from start to finish I was done in 45 minutes the second time.

Ummmmm, sure? Sounds really super easy...NOT!! Well I'll wait and see your pictures; although, I might be paying you to build me one...hahaha!!
Super nice garage...looks to be some good "work" area for you.

Either way...front or back, Diamond Axles kick butt!! I'm sure you'll love it. You have to let us know if they are as good as they say!!

I understand why you cut the fender well out...to make room for those kick ass 35's!! My question is...do they make fiberglass fenders that bulge out to make room for bigger tires for our 4Runners?? I've seen them for Tacoma's?? Or would you still have to make your cuts even with the fiberglass fenders?

Do you have any before and after pictures to show how much you actually ended up cutting?

    Thanks...Cheers!

    Pics of the switch soon!

Someone does make 3rd gen fiberglass somewhere. I don't remember who, but I do know you have to call them and ask specifically for it. You would still need to cut the firewall to clear 35's even with fiberglass fenders.

In this photo you can see the stock 3rd gen fender, then you can kind of see the pinch weld. I cut about 2.5 inches off the fender and cut about 2" into the firewall.

No worries on the switch...whenever you get the chance.

Wow...so you did really cut some serious fender and firewall!! Been thinking about stepping up to 35's...looks like a lot of work though.

Ya it's a lot of cutting. I need new sliders too because those rub at times too.

Wow...that's more then I would have ever thought??? That had to be scary cutting into the fire wall the first time. I'm really thinking I'm just going to stick with my little 33's...haha!!

Heck, and I thought it was bad flatting the pinch weld and beating it flat!!

$500 says I can get it and have it on a trail faster than you and your runner lol.

I didn't want to go down that road but you make it so easy when you give out opinions about vehicles...
