Lets do it! Jake and I were originally talking about trying the whipsaw last weekend until we found out that it is still covered in snow. It looks like a fun trail though.

 

Yep, that's the lake and the campsite. It's one of the favorite places I've camped. The second night we dropped down to a large clearing near the turnoff to go up to Molybdenite Peak. Someone had built some outhouses and it looked like you could probably fit at least a dozen rigs.

 

Hahaha, nice! You'd need a tetanus shot afterwards, she's a rusty bitch.

 

Hopefully I can get a special permit for this guy that's been ripping open the dumpster on the farm

Wow that looks like an amazing time, I checked out your Flickr album too. How would you rate the trail on difficulty? My fiance saw the pictures and is dying to go now haha

 

Trail difficulty is not that high until you get near the top. The shelf road is very steep and narrow in places and the drop-offs are significant. If you saw the pics, you saw what happened to one of the rigs on the way back down.

Also, it's +9,000 feet so us sea-level guys are a bit oxygen deprived up there. The payoff of course is that it is amazing beautiful. If you go, don't go alone because you might need their spare tire.

Negative. $1200 for a used one with 77k miles on it.

 

Plus ecu programming, console, clutch pedal misc....I wanted to convert my.powerstroke to manual it was 3k for used stuff. Better off getting 8t rebuilt

 

Why have I not heard of this before. I have to go to Metaline falls several times a year for work. Our biggest money maker is on the Pend Oreille river. (Boundary Project Dam) I will be scouting this out when I go in July for sure.
