BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2

Oh, also that's with 2 wheeling trips at ~15-20 psi, 2 rotations (4,000 miles each) and a fairly heavy foot. They're not babied in the least.

 

I just replaced my BFG T/A KO 265/75R16 with BFG T/A KO2 265/75R16. @Skrain, yes they do fit. I really like the look of the mid travel and performance. I have a 2" lift and there are no rubbing issues. On the stock ride height, the tires rub a little when turning on bumps. But to fix that, just trim the front mud flaps up one rib as shown in the pic. That fixed my rubbing issues on the stock setup:

Well, I bit the bullet today and got the tires.. I decided to go with the 275/70/17's..

I gotta say, the KO2's look badass in person!! Definitely more hyped to get my lift kit and wheels installed..

They're about 3" taller than my OEM 265/65/17's

just picked up a set yesterday 265/70/16. These tires are very unstable at highway speeds when cornering and hard braking. the rugged trail that came on the truck new were a much better handling tire.

on the good side these are just as quiet and smooth riding as the oem rugged trails.

 

OK - I dropped the air pressure to oem specifications and these babies are handling much much better - they are as good as the rugged trails now as far as handling goes. i was getting way to much crowning at the higher pressures.

i believe the truck is too light for these and/or my wheel width is a problem. the wheel width specs for these are 7-8.5"

so i'm on the low side for sure with my oem 7" wheels.

 

do you have any rubbing issues

no rubbing - i have the oem size - 265/70/16, i'm running 30/28 psi down from 45 and are much better

 

No rubbing issues at all with 3"spacer lift in front after removing front lil mud flaps and also removing front main mud flaps. Even at full lock still no rubbing issues.

 

Did you try any pressures in between the two?

 

Mine are "c" rated and the pressure is set at 35. They seem like they ride and handle well enough to me. I can feel a difference compared to stock but it's a better feeling. So far my MPG has been very close to what is was with stock tires, 19.3.

 

265/75/17's on stock suspension.

17.174 mpg.

Love them so far.

 

Have had 285/70/17's for around 6 months now and couldn't be happier, very quiet in comparison to the duratracs they replaced...

 

Big question I have - is anyone running these in a 35" yet?

 

Put some 235/85/16's on just in time for Moab. They fit good, no rubbing, track straight, and had plenty of traction.

 

@m3bassman a few people told me I shouldn't run Lockhart solo. I ll probably take the jeep next time since the Tacoma is my DD.

Howre these holding up for people? My quick 2cents and why I'm nervous about these. I work for a bfg supplier and despite savings went goodyear

I bought my first set of ko's (32x11.50x15 c rating) used on the wheels I was really wanting, and because they were cheap rode em hard. They stated about half life but wore out in 10k miles. Figured hard driving did it. Once worn out got some nittos then after 20k had minimal signs of wear, maybe 2/32"s worn, but they rubbed like kim kardashians thighs and I was not willing to cut floor out of my truck like @Slodgetto so I sold them and the wheels I had originally bought and went back to stock wheels and bought a brand new set of bfgs to keep it calm, reliable, and peaceful. This time a little smaller, I drive mostly highway so mpg would be nice. 31x10.50x15 load range c. Lasted 20k despite no real wheeling, rotations every 5k, proper air inflation (even played with chalk to confirm even wear), alignment when I got the tires, and 6 months later, and was overall nice to them trying to get as much life as possible as coworkers got 60k on their e rated ko's on their super duty's. They did absolutly terrible in mud and real snow. OK in dirt, ok on rocks unless it was raining. I felt stranded using them. I had them a year and they were almost bald. But they were not bald evenly despite proper inflation, alignment, and rotations. They were not worn equally, one had toe, one over inflation, one camber and one was even. Despite working for a tire company and having minds that have been jn the bunsiness for decades there was no good reasoning and it was chalked up to a bad batch.
