I got my new Inferno TRD OR today. Truck is great and I'm enjoying just about everything about it. Problem is it came from CA where they need a front plate, and they drilled through the black trim to put the plate bracket in. My dad has the same truck, and he doesn't mind trading me trim pieces. Do they just pull out? I don't see any screws, and it looks like it's just clips, but I'd like to be sure I'm doing it right before I just try to rip them out. Anyone have a diagram of that piece so I can see where the clips are exactly?

    Thanks!

You could also get some black plastic hole plugs. How bad are the holes?

    Sorry, can't help with removal.

I just removed mine the other day, it has some basic clips top and bottom, but the hard part and VERY IMPORTANT is that on both left and right sides are clips on the inside of the bumper that must be removed before you take it off. These 2 clips are the ones that actually hold it tight to the rest of the bumper. Just beneath the blue clip in the picture is where the piece from the front trim piece pokes through the rest of the bumper, then you thread the blue clip through it.

I had to remove the grill and the black plastic pieces on the left and right of the radiator to get at these clips, I used a screwdriver to push the 'latch' in on the blue clip and my hand to pull it out. It was very awkward. You will lose a bit of skin at some point.

I had the same issue with the license plate holes, I requested them not to put the front plate on when I purchased but it got missed. The dealer offered to swap me the front piece once another blue truck came on the lot, and they did. Unfortunately the tech that removed the bumper piece didn't know about these 2 clips and just forced it off, breaking the two retaining clips, so right now my bumper trim piece is very loose and rattles and is unacceptable, thankfully my dealer has been more than awesome, they've ordered me a new piece and will have it paint matched within a week or so.
