Cost is the only thing I can think of, because those incandescent bulbs were borderline useless.

Three of mine needed the text at the top and one at the bottom, so there's a bit of inconsistency on this. Best thing is just to try it the other way if it doesn't work at first.

The superbrightleds that I installed are dimmable. I am totally satisfied with them. Now for a different type of question. Does anyone know if the brake lights have a standard or CK type socket? The compatability feature on Amazon is confusing me.

So they were upside down. I guess it was just a coincidence when I was swapping the bulbs that it just happened to be both outside lights each time. All good now though. Thanks.

Try taking the covers off and check that you didn't mess up the button that allows you to turn them on and off. I had one of my covers go in crooked and it wouldn't depress. Just had to pop it out and reseat it and it worked

I changed the map light to LED and sometimes when I'm adjusting the outside mirror the LED map light would flicker. Are they on the same fuse/circuit?

    Not really.

DRLs do not illuminate your taillights; they want headlights on so you're also more visible from the rear.

Am I the only one who desires to be inconspicuous and not changing my internal and maps lights to LEDs?
I know it's the first mod most people here do. Then headlights.
I even had my front side windows tinted, it certainly wasn't for all blacked out look, but I know it's no help at night when if you put inside lights on.
I certainly don't like the yellow dim ones it comes with, but I' also hate to light it all up for everyone two blocks away to see as well.
I know there's no win here, factory bulbs and adapt or its go w/ LED's.
I just don't like to let the lights to come on even when I open doors either. Just me I guess.

That's exactly why I went with red LEDs .

another option is to add colored LED light under the dash or seats, keeping the light down low, giving you just enough suttle light to find things, but not direct light up past the console height.

Where did you buy the red LEDs? The warm white was too much for me

...^^^... The red LEDs I like ... reminds me of early morning staging areas on a ship preparing for a combat assault ... you can see to move around ... but not too visible to others at a distance.

How can I test the license plate lights to see if they are functioning?
