My plan was for the topless day but I am doing a fuel tank in my daughter's Lumina

Getting the rest of the garden planted, moving the new chicks and their hen out into one of the chicken tractors so they can start getting acclimated to outdoor life, maybe start working up the 4-foot firewood logs I stacked last fall into stove-length (depending on how ambitious I feel, lol)
Sunday I might go up to visit my mom since I couldn't see her on mother's day. Or I might do that brake job/kingpin replacement work on the '69 that I've been putting off...

Do that on Sunday, Bill. Weather's supposed to be lousy anyway, isn't it?

 

You play soccer??!! NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What teams and leagues do you follow?

My plans for the weekend are, tomorrow heading up to Cumberland RI for my wife's cousin's kid's b-day party. Sunday, mow the grass since I can't do it tomorrow and praying from 12 to about 2 that the soccer team I LOVE in Portugal wins the league since it's the last game of the season.

 

Unfortunately, with 2 little ones, I don't follow any teams anymore until it gets closer to the World Cup playoffs or Olympics. Right now, I just play rec league soccer with BSSC on the weekends. I've been on the same team for 8 years now. I was asked to play a more competitive league a few times but I don't have the time to make practices between work and kids. I've been playing since I was really little, I love the game! Do you play?

 

AH HA. I totally get it. I played in High School and then played in rec leagues and indoor men's and co-ed leagues. Took a little break when my first was born, and now on another break since my second was born in February. Tried outdoor a few times but since I'm a keeper, I am a bit too small to play outdoor so I stick to playing indoor. I feel that's where I exceed. Love the game. Follow and watch as much as I possibly can. Might take a drop though when the kiddos get a bit older and take over the TV on the weekends.

 

My weekend looks like it will contain finishing cleaning up the yard where I was splitting wood. Replacing a piece of brick mold on the back door. Staining the last new window before they get put in. Hopefully getting out to the fish & game land to exercise that Henry lever action I won in March. Mother in law is visiting this weekend so I gotta keep low and stay busy. Luckily the gals ('Mom', wife & daughter) are going to see a show on Broadway tomorrow which will keep them occupied all day. By the time they get home I'll probably be a sleep too.

I play indoor in Bedford but once we go outdoor it's all over. Most of the fields are Cambridge and west but there are a couple times I've had to trek to Woburn. BSSC rents fields all over the place but mostly high school and college fields. Lately, they seem to rent all synthetic grass fields so they don't have rain outs but I hate it. I really miss playing on grass.
