Damn thats suspension lift new wheel tire fender core support and all? The 4runner cost that for what looked like less damage.

@allenfab hey, question for ya, the rear half of the frame on the 80 I would really like to chop and put new square tubing just due to how ehhh it is lol. Just a shot, but how much would you charge if I could help weld a whole new back section on the 80? Not gonna do anything until at least the 3rz is in and some things are paid off. Just curious because it really should get fixed and then that puts me in a good spot to do the Chevy 63 conversion on the rear

What size square tube are you thinking of using? Where are you chopping the frame off at (at the cab I would imagine)? Nonetheless, it would be a very easy job to do

Trust me on this lol, it's a lot worse than what my shitty note 3 can pick up lol. I tried a flap disk already and the metal is like pitted or something and the back like 6 inches has a hole in it and is horribly rotted. I'll take a dslr shot of it....I'd rather replace the back half than attempt to try to salvage it. That way I have a blank slate to work with for my chevy 63 swap

Sounds like a good plan to me. How would you want to go about doing such? Bring the truck to me? me come to you? I build the frame sections and leave them to you? So many possibilities lol

haha I know lol, im not really even too sure XD, I could either drive the truck out there since Ill have the 3rz in there and actually be able to do highway speeds. OR tow the bitch out there and get it done lol. I think that may be the best route is to tow her out there to get it done. Ill have to make sure I have everything for the chevy 63s and new shock mounts and bolts...or hell, maybe even shock hoops and some nice 14" shocks lol

So yesterday I found out the oil leak in the 80 was a lot worse than I thought it was, I noticed it was pretty bad when I went to go pay my Internet bill, so I checked the level when I got back to base and it was way below the low line. Went and stopped by the bx to pick up some Dino oil because I had used synthetic, which was probably a dumb idea in the 20r lol, but when I got done and got home I checked the level again and nothing. I guess the surface for the gasket may not have been clean and all the synthetic made its way out. Only leaked when after its been running. So, I'll have to find out wtf is goin on with that

If you're wanting to chop the frame off, fuck the leaf springs, do coil overs.

That's whatd I'd like to do, but, I don't have the money for that lol. I was gonna do RUF and chevy 63s for first setup since I'll only need like $1100 for everything, all leafs, conversion kit, shocks, I think hoops all around, and histeer conversion

My ideal setup is 3 link up front and 4 link the rear, but even budget 3 link is almost half the price of the entire setup I was looking at doing lol

Yeah I know lol, but by doing it that and going that route, I'm not gonna be getting anything for a couple years at least with how much the links cost and the coilovers cost. I'd like to at least have something to wheel with while I put money aside for the links. She's not gonna stay like that for awhile.

She's gonna end up with an entire exo cage, links front and rear, locked, gears, biggers tires, dual tcases, lower gears. There's a lot of stuff I've got planned for this little pickup lol. I'm content with running the Chevy 63s and RUFs while I save and start gathering parts for linking her front and rear

I totaled a 3rd gen back in Feb. Young girl turned in front of me going 60mph. But it worked out in my favor. Went from 4cyl access cab to v6 double cab.. Lower finance rate... Almost same payment.

Sometimes things happen for a reason. Glad you're ok bro.

Currently at Busch gardens waiting in line...
