Dealer deliver wrong Tacoma...what to do?

I came in negotiated and paid for a crew cab, long bed TRD sport with tech package. Drove away without the tech package. Didn't even know what a tech package was at the time but salesman said the truck has it and even got on the phone argued with me, then he went check the VIN and went OH SHIT!!! $41,000 loan and fees are already done and gone...Dealer say they will have another one coming in two days with the exact spec I wanted. I'm scared of having to go thru the financial bullshit again. Should I?

They'll just give you what you paid for in the first place. In and out. Let them deal with the paperwork hassle.

Can you live without the tech package? If so, sounds like they owe you some money. Tell them you want your money. It's in the dealer's best interest to keep you in the truck you already bought, so you have some leverage here. If you really want that tech package, demand the truck you paid for and as was mentioned above, let the dealership figure out the paperwork/deal with the now-used truck they inadvertently sold you.

You did check when he told you it had the tech package. This is their fault, not yours. Let them handle it. Shouldn't you just go in and get the truck they owe you?

 

Let them handle all of the paperwork. You just pay what you agreed to for the truck you wanted.

If you don't know what the tech package is then you probably don't even want or need it. If you like the truck you have, keep it. If it's not what you want then go get the exact one you want. You're the person spending $40k. Get what you want for that price.

 

Didn't really care for the tech package, but I know it cost over $2000. If I knew if wasn't in the truck I would have ask for that cash for myself. they got a good deal and I've got none.

It should cost you a dime. Let them fix that shit. If i order a deluxe pizza with stuffed crust and dont get stuffed crust i go back in and they make me a stuffed fucking crust.

 

As long as you didn't put either 250 or 350 miles it is still considered new and returnable. Don't sweat it.

 

None of this makes any sense. If they charged you for the other truck but gave you the one without the tech then you shouldn't be out any money... no depreciation, no additional taxes or anything. They may need you to sign the loan paperwork over again with the other VIN, but as long as you don't go put a thousand miles on the truck or something it should be pretty straight forward.

yeah, I was totally elated with the truck, I wanted it for years. Had wife and family in the car too so it was quite a distraction.
