DCLB + bed extender = 7 foot bed! DCSB can't do that!

Let it hang over, Tie it down, use bungee cords or ratchet straps. :)

I'd say they're equal. Really depends on what you think looks better. When it comes down to it you will need a trailer for the bigger stuff anyway.

Can you load a Deere 430 garden tractor into either a DCSB or DCLB? No, you'll need a full size......or a trailer.

You can't increase passenger room or capacity, but you can easily increase load capacity is the way i see it.

I love my DCLB. Wouldn't trade it for anything. That being said I was of the DCSB camp before I got my truck, I thought they looked better, parked easier, Performed better off Road. I was wrong. Happily so.

DCSB do perform better off road, park easier and look better so you weren't totally wrong

Fair enough let's separate the two. Opinion: "looks better" Now the Facts on DCSB: superior turning radius, more off road capability due to shorter wheel base (less chance of high centering). DCLB Facts: longer bed = can fit more in it with tailgate closed, turning radius is longer, longer wheel base is higher risk of high centering :)

Fact: Longbed rides better and is more stable when towing due to the longer wheelbase.

Fact: Hauls more than the shortbed.

And doesn't do as well off road. We already sorted all of this out. Thanks for playing.

There's a reason Toyota didn't put 5 ft beds on regular and access cabs on the 1st and 2nd gens and eventually added 6ft beds to the dcabs, 5 ft is too short to be useful.

But then there's people that have to do things the hard way and never learn so Toyota kept that shitty little useless bed to make money off those poor dumb bastards...

I feel for them, I really do.

Really? That's funny, mine works just fine. Bed extender FTW.

Why do you have to purchase something additional to extend you bed. I'd just rather have a long bed in the first place, then try to extend something that was to short in the second place. SIZE MATTERS

They had to come up with a bed extender (crutch) for you people too stubborn to realize you needed a 6ft space. Can't go everywhere with your ass hanging out so they're making more money off you.

Bed extender means I can haul as much as a long bed and get back into places that you're not able to
