btw. this would only work if you have a relay that is wired to get signal from an in-cab switch and from the reverse circuit. otherwise the stock reverse harness could be powering all four lights which is obviously bad.

An isolated circuit with in-cab switch is definitely the best choice. I just remembered that you have to pass through R each time you go from D to P. If you shift too slowly the reverse lights will come on which would be a disaster if you got pulled over for, say, a dead tail light

    Instant a$$ kicking.

This thread is amazing! I was looking for some info on the RFRM and building one up, hoping I'd find a couple of pictures and a few words, then I found this. Now I need a bigger budget. Thanks guys!

This is how I wired my rear lights:

The connectors I used to split the wiring were Multiple Sealed Wire Connector One 14-16GA to Two 14-16GA that I purchased at Waytek Wire.

My build page shows the installation.

So i don't know where i screwed up, but my accessories are not getting any power when i connect them through my relays. When i throw some lights on a stand alone fuse, it powers up though. My switches have LED power and ground, so they light up, dim, and the second light even comes on when i toggle them. First time really doing any kind of electrical on the vehicle and i am at a loss here.

Did you put fuses in the correct relay banks?

As far as i know. Relay 1 corresponds with fuse 1 and then the next one is Relay 2 w/ fuse 3

Snap a photo of your wired box.

Double check that you are using the correct relays. It's easy to wire up the wrong ones

I hope I got the right ones lol. I would also be relieved if it was something that simple

How about a backside photo, please.

The only other thing I would check is if you simply connected the wrong relay connector. If you wired it just like the DIY, you may be using a different fused bank.

The front looks correct, but the wiring is simple on this side! :)

The 30A fuse is a bit much for most accessories (that's the max the relay can handle). I use 5A and 10A for most of my accessories, but that's another story.

Ya, I had a 15A in there earlier. I just put the 30 in for reference

My first plug is ugly because I had to terminate it again and I ran out of plugs. I plan on doing it over later. I've tried plugging the lights into the other relays too and it's the same result

I don't believe both of your busbars are grounded. You are missing your "jumper" wire from one to the other.

Let me dig up a photo.

Essentially, I believe your relay side of your Bussmann was not grounded. Should be a straight forward fix!

Let me know how it goes. Good luck!

Sorry, I took it off to show the wiring better. When I hook the box up to the vehicle I have it installed.

I can tell right away, that none of your red Power Wires to your Accessories appear to be fully connected, try pushing them in a little further, they should look a little more like this. You won't be getting the added benefit of the Bussman being waterproof if their not.

So i think i might have found the potential issue. When i was flipping the switches on and off to see if the lights would turn on when connected, I noticed the upper LED was not lighting up. So i think i need to take another look at the tap-a-fuse and to make sure i'm plugged into a slot that provides ignition on power. Gonna check it out after i put the offspring down for the night.

The way i wired the relays and fuses is just like how the DIY says and the relays correspond with odd numbered fuses.

Figured out the issue. The power terminal was loose in the connector housing on the back of the switches. Thanks guys
