I'm so annoyed by this rack it's coming out my ears. This set my summer back a bit because now I have to make one and loose precious camping time. The next best thing is 900$ and that's what I paid for 2 of prinsu's. Fml. The frontrunner is nice but it's tiny for the money. Idk

Do you have an RTT or why are the racks holding you back from camping? You could always just go temporary with Yakima or Thule cross bars and door clamps. @Greddy ran that for a year or so with his RTT

I need it to carry plastic tubs full of toys and camping equipment when I go camping. I have young kids and by the time u stuff water, camping gear, food, a propane tank in a 4 ft bed you don't have any space.

I go camping off the grid for 3 days at a time so it has to be fun for everyone. If it was up to me I'd be good with a sleeping bag, a tent, a stove my.fishing rod, water and a couple bottles of vodka and some food

Also do I need to know anything else I know you have to reverse the bolt on the uca so it is easier to get and bend the Frame to pull it out. The 3 leaf aal icon should I keep my overload or leave it off? Reason sometimes I do carry bricks and stuff from depot to do yard stuff

Bend the frame? You just need to tweak the pinch weld on the cab to gain clearance in there.

As for the overload, that's your call. The springs will settle in over time as you work them with loads and flexing out when wheeling. They will ride a bit stiff at first, but they will settle and keeping the overload in will probably restrict flex, probably ok if you dont have proper bump stops, and keep it somewhat level when hauling your honey-do items.

I've already noticed my dakars have settled a 1/2" or so in the 3months I've had them installed. I'm sure it doesn't help I have broke dick shocks in the back.

Shocks don't support, they absorb. With that being said the left rear shock you got is absorbing less, causing the springs to flex more on a daily basis.

Hahahahahahaa all g yeah so slight bend to get clearance for the bolt to come out. Yeah I'm thinking of leaving the overload off but still not sure still in debate hopefully I can get it all done with the bumper within 6 hrs ish

When I had ome aal I left the overload springs on. The originals were shot though so I wanted to keep as much ridgity as i could get.

The only thing I'm thinking is the springs themselves are "absorbing" all the flex since I have blown out rear shock which normally would soften the impact/flex to the springs.

Hey guys so last night I was in an accident. I was coming around a downhill corner to a one lane concrete bridge and my passenger rear rim failed and blew my tire. The truck spun sideways and went almost over the side but caught my axle and same wheel on the inside and bounced the truck back on the bridge just enough to not go over. It destroyed the wheel and possibly my axle. My bed was severly bent and so is my driveshaft and rear strut. I winched the truck back on the road and called my insurance to file a claim and for roadside assistance. I then limped the truck 2 more miles over the rutted gravel road to saftey and the highway. All I can say is I'm lucky to be alive and the way my truck hit, the performance of my tires and durability of the truck saved my life last night, especially the tires which really saved me in a few ways. The battered tire had no damage and made it the whole way flat and on a destroyed rim. Waiting for insurance to say if it's fixable or totalled... Praying for the former.
