3rd Gen Tacoma Model/Package/Option Costs Master List

I'll share my experience, quite by accident. I was all set to order a 2016 Sport DCSB from a dealer in Orlando because I was in no hurry. I negotiated a firm price and went home to Ocala (80 miles away) to think it over and decided to stop at the local Toyota dealership. They had a Sport DCSB, on the lot, same color but with more equipment than I really wanted so I asked them to beat the deal I had to order a new one.

Long story short, they had less interest to sell me an ordered truck than they did to sell the one on their lot, which I assume was costing them money. I bought the truck from them for the same price and couldn't be happier.

 

Someone find me a dam 7568 in super white with towing package only. toyota is either playing games to keep prices high or they are really backed up. I'm located in Oklahoma, no one within 500 miles of me have one. if someone has a friend thats a sales rep at a dealership i need help!

 

They're really backed up for most markets.

Why not have a dealer modify an allocation for you?

 

I ordered a 7568 in October and didn't get it until April.

 

that why i cancel mine and will settle for short bed, mine was going to be august/september and it was going to be a 2016 year still, i think 2017 be out by then.

 

Just curious what everyone thought.. this is a response from the dealership.

I got an offer for this Tacoma: $36173 OTD. I'm wondering if I'm getting a good price for this truck considering that it is only $100 under MSRP.

Yes, it does. Can I get a better deal? I've been negotiating through the phone and emails.

 

No clue, as I have no idea what your title, taxes, etc costs are vs. what you're paying for just the truck, how good your negotiation skills are, etc.

 

Is that 36K out of the door price, a pair price?

 

i ordered my 7568 with tow package + paint protection in black in march and will take delivery late June 35,064 + ttl in Texas anyone had any better luck?

 

Where's the pricing list as an attachment so can save to desktop and print? I know I found one at some point before.

 

can someone check on a vin and see when it is suppose to get to the dealer? put a deposit on it already.

Sounds like a good deal. Depending on your sales tax rate in Florida. In California if you could get the truck otd after taxes and fees you'd be paying right around invoice for the truck. I see they're discounting the truck over 2k off msrp. That's a pretty decent discount. I got mine for $2800 off of msrp but mine also had a higher msrp.

I just got an offer today that seem too good to be true.

2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab 4x4 for $32273 out of the door. This include tax title and fee and the college grad rebate. The sales manager sent me that deal over text message. Therefore, it seems like he is only trying to get me in the door and the price will magically come up. I asked for him to official email me and have something official on it. However, he say "you have my word in writing right here in your phone?"

What is your opinion on this deal? And situation?

 

If you need a truck, go jump on it. Just make him copy the text message onto a contract when you get to the dealership. Sign said contract and you're done.
