So I'm thinking about going 305/70/16. What all do you guys think I'll have to do to get those to fit?

305s are wide.. you will probably have to trim more than us 285/75 guys.

Yeah I'm thinking I'm just gonna stick with 285/75/16's. Just curious what all you had to trim? I'm running old man emu 885's and dakars out back so I'm hoping I don't have to trim much.

No way man. Go for it. Trimming the finder is no big deal. The CMC is no big deal and if you can't weld get someone who can throw on the weld. Grab some
Plastidip or rustoleum bed sealer or whatever and beat the shit out of your pinch welds and you're good. @Blacktacoma23 ran 35's with no regear for a while. You could totally swing the 34's

Edit: first beat your pinch welds then use the sealers... Oh and remove your inner well liners

Hey guys I just wanted to share this story about my accident last night and the huge part these tires played

Last night they not only saved my life but kept me from being stranded after. I had a rim lose pressure on a gravel road and send my truck sideways into the side of a one lane concrete bridge. Not only did the grip and durability keep the truck from going completely over the side after direct impact on the passenger inside with the bridges small wall, it then survived and managed to go 2 miles on a gravel road totally flat while on a severely damaged rim suffering no damage. When the truck slid it was gonna go over the side of the bridge until it caught that already flat wheel and hit the small barricade bouncing the truck back on the bridge enough to keep it from going over. The rim was destroyed and I winched the truck back on the road. The two miles after wards were done in this state and weren't exactly smooth but the tire held together and got me to safety. This morning's inspection by discount showed the rim had failed with the tire in amazing shape after its trial virtually no damage. Discount replaced the tire and rim free of charge. Discount tire, and especially Cooper, just earned themselves a lifetime customer.

I emailed Cooper this story with a special thanks to their engineers for designing such an amazing tire. Still yet to determine if the axle is damaged.

Not sure either. The pressure was around 30. Upon inspection though my bed is warped, my axle probably damaged and my driveshaft marred and bent. I'm praying this isn't totalled.

Y'all that have the 255/85/16s, what psi do you run on-road? I'm still hunting for the sweet spot.

Just picked up mine a couple days ago but currently running 40psi front and 38 rear. Thinking 35-36 is a good spot as chenbro stated. Oh and I know how everyone likes pictures so here ya go :goingcrazy:

Yeah. I had 35 when I got them but aired up to 40 to get rid of roll when driving through curves in the road. Took 200lbs off the bed (removed canopy) and gonna air down a bit.
