    2016 CRF450s are still carb'd

    The CRF250L is injected.
    The XR650L has a carb.
    The KLX250 has a carb.
    The KLR650 has a carb.
    The WR450 and 250 have been injected for a while.

    I got the rear diff out today. Front got held up due to not having a 17 mm Allen.

    People who have regeared, should I buy an OEM paper gasket or just RTV the rear diff?

    Well my rear axle is put back together. RTV'd on. Pretty irritated because my friend that has the car lift always pushes thru things so fast and doesn't care about torquing. Forgot to bring my baby torque wrench and he didn't have one so hopefully my rear diff is torqued properly :annoyed:

    Anyways I was trying to push my rear locker gear over to fit the motor back on, and when I pushed it to the side I watched it slip back over to the center of the diff right as he slipped the motor into place. Of course now I can't get the rear to unlock. I hear the little gear move but it's like it doesn't go far enough over to unlock it.

    Also got the front diff out. Tons of room for welding in my motor mount gussets :yes:

    Question for people who have regeared: So when I pounded the stub shaft out to swap it over to my new front diff there was also this little ring surrounding it. I cannot figure out its purpose... and it wont fit onto my new front diff because my ARB air line is in the way. I'm 99% positive I don't need it but wanted some confirmation from others before I send it back with the old diff and end up screwing over my Moab plans lol.

    Hell of a build, and to do list! I have some similar things going on! You still plan on leaving Eburg on the 30th? What are your travel plans? I was thinking of leaving a day before now or on the 30th, spending some time and a night around Craters of the Moon NP on the way down and make the last 5-6 hr. treck the next day to BFE! Want to convoy down man!?
