Well did a little trail run tonight. Started off clunky, squeaky and creeky but by the time we hit pavement again she seemed her old self. Retightening everything I think did the job. Still a slight noise but I am 99.99999%sure it's the Icons needing their rebuild

I got the custom slow speed valving from DSM when I ordered them but everyone seems to think I should do the icon off the shelf valving and would enjoy it more. What are you running?

King valving is a lot different but i have a flutter stack and the get progressively stiffer to compensate for weight.

All OEM (King, Fox, Icon Etc) coilovers will have a flutter stack generally

I like my icon off the shelf valving, but everybody seems to think DSM can beat off the shelf.

    Holy fuck!

Guess FJs have the same weak bucket as Tacomas or someone was going fast with a lot of preload/weight

I suppose yes he probably did. Probably a few rocks...

That must have made a hell of a noise.

Had seen some pictures of a Tacoma like this at SDHQ. They were rebuilding the buckets with 3/16 plate.

I heard some conflicting things about this but I thought this was the appropriate thread to ask in... I'm getting some rear King 2.5s with a j66 pack will I need extended brake lines? I've been reading on this website and have been hearing different answers. Thanks!

Would UCA gussets mitigate that damage? Doesn't appear so.

I was at nearly 4" of lift on OEM lines for a few months. Had to unbolt the line from the clamp on the axle but it worked for awhile. I have since went to 24" lines that have more than enough room with the line bracket back on.

Here is full droop with the 24" lines.

Nope, the cross brace would help in that scenario
