I had been digging deep for install/reviews by searching through just about every forum/social media outlet that included the string 'switch pros'. Then, as I do I compulsively read through every post and comment into the early morning.
    :pccoffee:
Most of the info came from the depths of various jeep forums by S-P reps answering questions. Backlighting didn't come up as much as I'd expected, perhaps I'm alone on this one... but the scheme strikes me as dated for such an advanced device. Then again the unit seems to have been targeted specifically for the jeep crowd so perhaps it matches their dash scheme. I hope they keep on top of their APP (I'd like to see dual unit support offering 16 buttons on screen at once, being that I have two) and hope they push forward to cater more to the universal market. (a longer power cable lead would be an easy first step to offer more mounting options for non jeeps).

Another note, if you're about to buy one and planning on hooking it up to an ARB compressor save yourself some $ and don't get the additional harness. You can buy a bag of fancy waterproof connectors for half the cost. I purchased it thinking it would offer me a majestic unicorn bj, and all I got was a pinch of disappointment. Wish I had done my research prior, there's nothing special about it as it's simply just a plug between wires off the switch pro harness and wires off the ARB compressor harness. Three cheapo wire crimps do the same job for pennies and a crimp tool handshake.

Even with my extensive digging I didn't see anything about the volt meter, that would be pretty slick.... almost as slick as that teased aluminum bezel... @XPOTRPR

I think he meant the length of wire in between those connectors. the short end on the switch side.. and the longer length of wire on the controller side.

Appreciate the shots, that answers what I was curious about. I was confused why mine was different but it makes sense they'd change that up, the latest version has a 6" lead off the switch panel and just about 10' off the solid state connector. Makes it easier to remove the switch panel without fishing out a bunch of wire if you'd ever need to do that.

Let there be more light................. Now I just hope my ditch light brackets from Cali Raised Lighting come in tomorrow. I'm ready to install to my Switch Pro. After this install, I still have 3 slots left.

Switch 1, Piaa plate bumper lights, soon to be swapped out for s set of these led pods.
Switch 2, 20 inch light bar
Switch 3, 30 inch light bar
    Switch 4, Rock lights
    Switch 5, Ditch lights
    Switch 6, Whip, Future Install
    Switch 7, VACANT, Future Install
Switch 8, ARB compressor. Future Install

Switch Pro is just so damn simple to install accessories. I love it....

Do you have any pics of where you tapped into the wires (blue and yellow)? Going to be hooking mine up soon, thanks.

Here's where I connected mine for now:

I tapped into the trailer relay for my "Fog Light Any Time" mod, and used the same connection for both the yellow and blue wire for the Switch-Pro. I thought the power would come on with the key in "Accessory" position, but it doesn't come on until "On" AND at least marker light turned on.

It's not ideal for the blue wire (Acc), but a good accidental find for the yellow wire it seems. It works for me for now. I almost always drive with at least marker lights on, so I at least have dimmed backlight on in the SP, but no bright light / dimming.

So if anyone have a good place to connect the yellow wire to an Acc switched source I'd appreciate it.

I routed the blue and yellow light up from the bottom of the relay box where the big wiring bundles come up. If you do that, make sure to notch the divider wall - otherwise the divider wall will squeeze/notch the wires.
