Brought home my 2nd Tacoma on February 21, 2013. This time, I bought a 2013 DCSB V6 SR5 4x4. Here's a pic from the day I brought it home.





First three weeks:

Removed stock running boards and mud flaps.

Completely debadged truck. One step closer to full chrome removal.


March 19, 2013: 3" Lift/Wheels/Tires have been installed. Took the truck to 4 The Truck Customs and Accessories. The guys over there did a great job, and were happy to work with my wants and price range.

Installed a ToyTec Ultimate Lift: Bilstein coilovers/shocks and ReadyLift spacer on top of coilover to prevent maxing out coilover length and front end sag.

Installed Toyo Open Country A/T II 265/70/17's with 17" Method Standard wheels.

Also, bought a lightly used 265/75/16 tire from Discount Tire and swapped out the spare.













Pic of my little boy (13 months) standing next to the family Taco He seems to be more interested in his finger (not a booger, hasn't figured out how to pick them yet haha) than the massive tire next to him.




Next up:

Aftermarket Beefy UCAs

Rear Offroad Bumper (All-Pro, Relentless, Demello, etc. Haven't decided yet)

Hi-Lift Jack Bed Mount

Wet Okole Seat Covers

Possible Satoshi (Also haven't decided if I want to do that or not yet)

and probably more stuff that I haven't considered yet...

nice build so far man!! i love the stance of the truck. I was wondering though if that spacer limits your down travel? the shocks ever top out?

April 2013

Line-X'ed the chrome bumper. It was too shiny, so I took it back and had them make it matte instead of gloss.






May 2013

Line-X'ed the Grille Surround and Center Emblem to match the bumper.




No updates for a while, until November 21, 2013

During three very rainy days, I was involved in an at-fault accident that totaled another vehicle. Luckily I was fine. My taco on the other hand was not so lucky.

From the initial photos, the bumper took the brunt of the accident. Little did I know that I had also warped my core support, fender apron, and a body mount. Almost $6000 in damage to my truck.












I elected to leave the stock bumper off, and have a new custom prerunner style built by my friends at Best Muffler Shop here in Vegas. The bumper is bolt on, and powdercoated matte black, witch an aluminum skid plate.






I had a couple tabs built for some Rigid Industries Duallys, and I had them wired and installed after the bumper was installed.




Most recently, I ditched my Toyo 31s for some Toyo Open Country MT 33s. Here is the truck as it sits today...

I haven't touched this thread in quite some time, so I figured I'd update it. Much has been added:

Swapped out bumper for version 2.0, built by Vegas Desert Fab. 30" Toughlight and 2 Rigid Duallys from previous bumper. Swapped out Toyos for Hankook Dynapro MT RT03s in 315/70/17. Also added McNeil 3" Fiberglass Fenders for more wheel clearance.




Also added some powdercoated metal covers in place of those annoying trim pieces under the headlights.



Swapped out the ToyTecs for some Fox 2.5s with Resis and DSC Adjusters. Added Total Chaos UCAs. Much smoother ride.



As well, had a tire carrier build by Vegas Dezert Fab. Includes mounts for two Rotopax, a floor jack, and a 6" rear Toughlight with amber lens.




Onboard VIAIR Constant Duty system with quick disconnect mounted to trailer plug outlet. Compressor/Switch/Gauge mounted inside utility box. Tank mounted underneath and behind bumper.



Cobra C75 WX ST with custom mount for Firestik antenna built by Vegas Dezert Fab



I could be forgetting some stuff, but so much has changed in two years it's hard to keep track. Truck has really come together since I last posted!
