If he wants that 3" lift to feel good he better get upper arms as well... At a minimum light racing uppers will help.

 

The setup i have is ext travel coilovers up front with icon ucas and icon 2.0 shocks and dakar leafs in the back.

 

For sure. I had 5100's before set around 2.5" and my truck would dart all over the place. Once I got new ucas problem went away. You might as well spend the money the first time and do it right.

 

And after you do all this you will want bigger tires. Then you will buy 285s. Then you will realize you need to start cutting up your shiny new truck. Then it will be all down hill from here. Its the rabbit hole of owning a tacoma (and being on here). Once you start its a very dark, expensive path...

 

If i had a prerunner i would do maxtrax 4 inch spindles and a 2 inch coil over, and then either do a 4 inch lift leaf from atlas and a 1 inch block. Or a 6 inch lift spring in rear if you dont mind the rake

Pretty much, however I do drive on gravel and dirt roads daily but nothing extreme like going thru mud, sand, or over rocks...

 

That's outta my experience level. I will say, however, getting into the 6" lift range is fairly difficult on these trucks for a handful of reasons. Additionally, a 6" lift usually negatively affects ride quality and general suspension performance for several reasons.

I also don't think your budget is gonna get you what you want in the price range you'd like.

It says 0-3.5" suspension system, so if I were to do the 3.5" would you recommend any extra parts to go along with it?
I know I shouldn't rush it but I've been waiting forever to mod this truck
