    Don't feel bad about your weather Blue, 36 here right now with a high today of 43 !! Glad you got some sleep and hope your feeling better. I woke up this morning and lost sight in my right eye during the night so don't know what the hell is going on with that. Oh well it's a new day anyway.

    Thank you but it is what it is, just all blurry and isn't clearing at all. 6 years ago Dr told me I have that skin cancer and after he told me my options I told him there was one more, God put it there and he can decide what he wants to do with it. Never went back and it grows and spreads but I feel ok so I don't let it bother me. As far as the eye goes the other one is fine so I am ok with that.

    Just an observation on my part, and not intended as anything more than just thinking out loud;

    Many of us are very much in love with the out doors. We love spending time with Mother Nature. There are multitudes of opportunities to become involved in volunteer groups and services that help to preserve nature. Those groups not only preserve the things we appreciate, they put you in close proximity to other like minded people. My wife and I are becoming more involved each day with a raptor rescue group, as well as 2 groups that do work on trail systems and public park land. It is some of the most fulfilling time spent I've ever been involved in. This time GIVES US far more than we give to it. The rewards are endless.

    At least get it looked at. It could be just an infection. You only have two.
    Not my place to offer advice. Just concerned

    It's great that you make time to volunteer! I'm blessed to have a career in the Park Department. It's a great working atmosphere and we also have some retired folks that volunteer and help out. I get to see a lot of critters of all kinds each day at work. Anything from sea turtles to Eagles! Kudos to you Blue!

    :yay: for a good nights sleep. Hope you can find an antibiotic that works, but doesn't keep you awake.

    Sounds like a great time.

    :eek: Hope your eye gets better. Have you had it checked out?

    Hope you have a productive day on the water

    Rigid is an American made EXPENSIVE light. there are Chinese knockoffs that are much cheaper and the same quality. I have both. Search TW, there are always group buys.

    Yeah, today is the last day off, back to the stress.
    I found myself spending every weekend with the scouts. Best 7 years of my life. Didn't even feel like volunteer work.

    By the sounds of things both you and Mike had great vacations. Looks like the weather cooperated and fun things happened. Helping with the scouts is dedication and patience. You should be proud ! Start out slow tomorrow, and ease back into the grind!

    Normally, the last day at work before a "vacation" is a happy day. Not so much this time. Taking 8 days (minimum) starting tomorrow for the surgery. Gotta get all my ducks in a neat, straight row today so my assistant doesn't have a lot of decisions to make. Tomorrow is spent "evacuating the colon".....so that day will suck. Next day I get fileted.....So that day suck. Then the long parade of family visits starts. My family HAS to show up to show their "support". Personally, I'd rather they cut my grass, or took out the trash.....or something USEFULL, but, instead, I get to entertain them. Oh well.....Family....

    Frost warning here, 37 degrees when I woke up. Slightly warmer, but MORE rain in store for tomorrow. We've had measurable rain 17 of the last 19 days, and predicted 5 of the next 7. One word.....canoe.
