Yeah ill be busy. So go on without me if you guys have to shoot like right now for some reason, I've got an ar15 I need to test out and sight in. Picking up my coworkers .308, and sight in a new scope on my pops .270 win mag, also double check zero on my 30-06 Springfield, and .17hmr, then plinking for fun maybe with the 9mm and .38spl or 12g. It's gotta get done before hunting season

Sounds good, I'm thinking if we leave fresno, will hit paso robles in about two hours.

Also maybe meeting place is back side of Dennys Parking lot near Chevron and Shell? That way people can gas up and grab stuff. Arco is across the street too, along with McDonald's, Carls Jr, Starbucks, Subway, and Tacobell.

Hopefully there's enough room there. I know the McDonald's is always busy and limited space for parking, there's always the shopping area behind Carl's Jr on Black Oak Drive if there's no parking at Dennys ?.2473a1147f25033fe75ac89b8af8655a_f443fa23a6c2594516597f9501b8f69f59b8c293.jpg
So I guess leave paso robles at 10:30-11:00am ?

All this talk about guns is making me jealous. So my wife is seriously against an AR right now so looks like it will be a handgun for the time being. Any recommendations? Mainly for personal defense. I was looking into a glock, I want something that has ammo and parts readily available, and not super expensive.

Glock makes some real good pistols but their fire pins are always wear out faster than any other brands I known of, if you don't mind the price get an HK

Something smaller for the misses hands is the Smith & Wesson m&p shield. Go rent out a few gun and try them out if your on a budget. Unless your crazy like us and buy a whole bunch. The H&K are top notch stuff though

I'm afraid once I get one, I will start buying more. I already have one expensive hobby, the taco, now another? Better start putting in the OT.

Yeah, so any range will let you rent/shoot?

The Firing Line has handguns to rent/shoot. You can try the wheel guns too. From 500, to 44 mag, down to the 380 I believe

If I were to only buy one, they would be Sig, H&K, Glock, then Smith. In that order, but overall all those handguns you can't go wrong
    Just my personal opinion

Most indoor ranges have rentals, and most outdoors does not.

M&P and Glock is your choice for parts and not expensive, m&p will have a better grip angle for most people, I have both and you can shoot them when we set a range date for 559 TW range day

I got the sub compact Glock if you want to shoot it too
Glock has a bigger grip due to the mags holding more ammo. Just the design of it, where as the Smith is single stacked, I would of gotten it too if I didn't care for round count.

My cousin has the Springfield XD 9 subcompact, and I actually shoot it better than my Glock 26 too.

I'm bringing my rod and some baits also, but pretty sure I'm not fishing.
