18" is a good fish. How many did you catch in all? Usually throwing plugs you catch fewer, but have a better possibility of caking a bigger one.

All those except for the 2 pigs in the 1 pic are from the Toccoa.

Hell yea that brown is ridiculous man.
I caught 8 rainbow, lost two good ones and a decent brown. My brother caught 5 rainbow.
What size rapalas you throwing? I was throwing a 3" but I'm gonna get a couple 4-5" if I can find em for the big boys

Ya all the Ga guys should get together and do that, or maybe a canoe/kayak trip down the river and camp. Have to camp since we'd all be half lit haha

Not bad. Long ass float, huh? Lol.

I usually throw size 7 or 9s. I'll drop down to a size 5 every now and then.

Hey guys, it's short track season and I'm itching to hit some area tracks. Here's some tracks/dates I'm interested in checking out. I would enjoy a meet up or caravan to one of these events. Also, if you know of some other tracks in the northeast Georgia area, please tell me about them:

    Toccoa Speedway
    Dixie Speedway
    Anderson (SC) Motor Speedway
    Albany Speedway
    Tri-County Race Track (Brasstown, NC)

Fri. 6/3 Anderson Speedway: Twin 40s Late models + supporting races
Sat. 7/2 Hartwell Speedway: Full races + Fireworks
Mon. 7/4 Tri-County Race track: $th of July Championships
Sat. 7/9 Albany Speedway: Lucas Oil Southern States Midgets + supporting races
Sat. 7/16 Dixie Spedway: Winged Outlaws + supporting races

It was about a 5-6 hr. float, just about perfect. Back will get sore by then if in a kayak..

Yea, I wish there were more public access points here. Both floats are 7 mile stretches. It's usually a 8-9 hour trip for me if the fishing is decent.

Ya gotta drop a car at horse shoe bend park near McCaysville, and put in at Curtis switch bridge. You pull off the road at Curtis switch and see a parking area but if you pass that up you'll come to a canoe launch just down the road on the left. It's a nice mellow float with just a couple fun rapids. Throw a trout pattern rapala man you'll get some good fish
