The showering in am or pm thread got me thinking. How many folks wear their shoes in the house?

I take mine off at home and when I go to someone's house I take them off as a courtesy until told to leave them on. Growing up in Hawaii everyone leaves their shoes at the front door. I used to wonder why my family in Colorado would always keep their shoes on.

BTW, I have no problem telling someone to remove their shoes before entering my house.

I take my shoes off in the laundry room when I get home. I have a pair of flip flops by the front door if I need to run outside for anything.

I don't MAKE people take their shoes off when they come over......but my friends that drop by know my OCD about cleanliness......I vacuum 3-4 times a week!

my roommates dog sheds a ton and he never cleans the hair up, plus I'm renting. So I wear shoes.

I take my shoes off in other peoples houses though.

Most of the time, I take them off....especially this time of year. During the summer, I forget to take them off sometimes. My carpet wasn't that nice to begin with. Add a 4 and 6yo child plus a mediem and a large dog.....it takes alot of abuse.

If the shoes are pretty clean, I could care less. I would rather have the housekeeper sweep/mop/lick up your dirty trail than have to smell your nasty feet.

If they are dirty, leave 'em at the door. If your feet smell, well you just might not be invited back.

Off for sure. Think about it....all the nasty places your shoes have been...restrooms being the number one nastiest place I can think of, one wouldnt think it is that hard to hit the target.
Now....think of laying on the floor with your face all over what just hitched a ride home on the bottom of your shoes
Yeah, kinda sick!! Now...what if you have kids???:puke:

Wear your shoes in to my house and my wife would remove them by cutting off your leg.
