@adanfon Also, you shoul buy a 10/22 rifle. Probably the best rifle ever!!!! You can never go wrong with a .22 rifle. Cheap as balls. They start out in the $200 and go up

It's debatable with a 12guage shotgun too. It's pretty much the same price as a .22lr rifle, shells are decent prices, just heavy to lug around.
.22lr is the way to go for fun and everything else. Not so much defense if your looking into that.

Maybe I'll try that... I'm thinking it'll melt when you rapid fire it
Depends on what happens though, my stock should be here tuesday, but I'm not free until first week of june. Then camp second week of june. So I may have time for glass bedding to settle if I decide to glass it

I tried once on my loose Ruger 10/22 after market stock it's not sticking to the stock or either the action not the best long term solution but it works fine.

I see a lot of you fish around here. I'm looking to get into fishing I've done deep sea quite a bit. But I'm looking for recommendations for bass/ trout in lakes and such since I'll be going on my kayak and some kind of setup for the bay off my kayak. Any help would be great!

A lot of guys like to do drop shot rigs off the kayaks. For trout I mostly stream fish, and rooster tails, Martin panthers, and kast masters work well. Wax worms and Flys are probably the best. Then when all else fails, peach colored salmon egg flavored power bait or cheese..., always reel upstream. Off the shore for trout I like to use marshmallows, night crawlers, and kast masters. For bass pretty much senkos, to brush hogs are what I like to use, top water flukes too depending on where your at. For off shore or deep areas, let the Bait drop to rock bottom, jig it real quick then reel while jerking it( maybe a 3 or so feet up), let it sink just a little(maybe a foot back down), then repeate. Theres always those Rapalas and those guys but they are too expensive for me so I just stick with the stuff I mentioned above. Buzz baits and poppers work well for bass also. Look for structures for them to hide, the bass likes to sit until they see something good(on a calm day). Stripers like to cruse along and chase schools of fish, thus calling them boils, but that's a different story... Your fishing shouldn't change so much from when you are on the shore, other than reeling away from the shore makes it act more real for the fishes.

Oh yeah also, when they stock trout, most of the time they don't bite until a day later... new water temp, shock, and they were just fed from the hatcheries...

Yeah that sounds good! Obviously I had no time today, but maybe in a couple weeks.

I think this is what one of my coworkers has. It's a .22 and he said he bought 4K rounds for like $200. He shoots squirrels with it.
I'll probably go the .22 route, my wife really has a dislike for the AR. Maybe a shottie later down the road.

A lot of good info too guys, thank you
